@Jenova65: you are my new hero! I bow to thee.
I'm a gaming step-mom... does that count? mmmmmmm cooooooookieeeeeees.
I loaded the original Warcraft on the boy's machine for the first time the other day... to see it brand new again through his eyes is awesome. (next time we have him it's LAN party time!)
love...

Back when I was a child mum used to trounce Flipull right above stage 80 on advanced effortlessly, a game I STILL consider quite difficult despite having nearly two decades of gaming under my belt.

I know a kid who has a gaming mom. She let him skip school and they went to get ODST. Lucky bastard.

My mother plays Mortal Kombat II. Does that count. She also plays Super Mario World, and some fishing games. Whenever she sees me playing a game on the PC she always stops and watches for a bit. She's also getting a Wii soon.

Nope, my mother is a resolute non-gamer I'm afraid... infact everyone else impart from me in my family is (though my sister plays the occasional Guitar Hero, she lives in Cornwall, and I live near London... so yeah :p) a non-gamer. It gets lonely :(

My mum was the one that got me into gaming, her favourites are Metal Gear, Resident Evil, Tomb Raider and their sequels.

My mom plays WoW, and has played a few other games, such as American McGee's Alice, Black & White 2, and Starcraft.

She can't really play fast paced games, because her hand is kinda gimpy, but she does well.

My mum is the typical 'Why are you wasting your' money on this crap' parent, but while playing Sims 3 the other day she kept on watching while walking past, and asking questions and even hinting she wanted a go.. But she'll never admit that she was interested, can't let the rest of the family know her weaknesses.

When we played Sonic 3 back in the day, my mum was surprisingly skilled at it. She did more than simply run right. That is a feat in itself.

Damn that looks tasty. If only I had edible printer ink.
