What games from your childhood do you still enjoy playing, and on reflection are still pretty damn good?

For me its Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies, there's a game that a lot of love and attention went into, the Star Wars Battlefront series, because they're just so much fun and Spider Man 2, because of the fun to be had in web swinging.

Spider Man 2 is still pretty cool as is Battlefront franchise. I'd like to add Age of Empires II, Myth II, Red Alert 2, C&C Tiberian Sun, Counter Strike, Unreal Tournament, Half-Life, Delta Force 2, and NFS 2 to that list.

A lot of sequels, huh? But, yeah, I still play most of them on LAN with friends.

I've been on a bit of a nostalgia trip recently. Playing lots of games including various Zeldas stretching back to OoT (GC version) and it still holds up well, and so does MM. In fact I might even be inclined to say MM holds up better.

most games from the SNES era hold up tight for me, along with any rhythm game in the vein of Um Jammer Lammy or Space Channel 5.

Not only does this thread make me feel old and kinda worried, but since when did the last generation count as nostalgia???
most people i know still play on them!

But id go with the original ff, zelda OOT, perfect dark and silent hill.
But games that came out this decade, are we really counting them as nostalgia now?

OK, none of these are from THAT long ago, but Tony Hawk's Underground and some of the earlier titles, any of the Splinter Cells and Far Cry Instincts are all games I played a lot of from sort of thirteen onwards. All definitely still hold up today; they have stayed in my collection.

Yeah, I'm only eighteen, and I didn't do much gaming when I was properly young, besides the Lego games haha.

Secret of Mana, Link to the Past, Donkey Kong Country 2

Half-Life 1 (2 is not nostalgic yet, I'm not that old!), Jedi Knight (but it crashes a lot now), Diablo 2 is 10 years old or so, AvP2 is still all kinds of awesome

Many others I remember fondly, but not enough to play them again - they'd still be better than some of the AAA-tripe today...

All the pokemon games, of course!
Also beyond good and evil. Especially the animal photography.

Im only 21! xD
But then i thought about it and remembered that ive only really been playing my PS3 in the last 4 months since i got a tv it will work properly on, before that it was PS2 from like 2002, so i probably havent properly moved onto the new generation yet.
Also i started in the early 90's with the snes, mega drive, n64, ps, some of which i cant even play anymore as the ps games i can play on the later ones, but the rest i cant and some of my consoles are slightly bust :(
Ill stop rambling now.
