The Funeral, where you get gunned back down if you so much as twitch.
Abuse the slowmo as you wake up to get three or four headshots in then leg it to the back of the room where you can get some cover.

There's hardly any difference between difficulties when it comes to a shootout, all the difference is in how hard stealh is.

Battletoads. Just Battletoads. I'm trying to finish Battletoads - all the way through, no short cuts.

Fucking, fucking game.

Tekken 6. Fuck the Jin Kazama boss fight. How exactly is that a fair game? Seriously?
Try fighting Jinpachi on Ultra Hard and without getting hit with Anna freakin' Williams.
I had to memorize a slew of combo-grabs just for the feeling.
I would break him over and over, but the best I got was one hit. He hit me once and I lost my perfect. I gave up with Anna and moved to Heihachi and it was no contest.
I beat him before he even had a chance to attack.
Talk about achievement-whoring.

I played Mass Effect until my soul bled. It's probably my most played game of all time. I played it through when I first got it on my old Gamertag til I had all the achievements except a couple of ally achievements, some of the engineer achievements, and the Hardcore and Insanity difficulty setting achievements... I played it about 3 or 4 times through to get that.

Fast Forward a couple years, I hadn't played it for a while, I had a new gamertag with NO Mass Effect achievements on it, so I sit down to try and get them ALL.

I play it through once on Hard, unlock Hardcore mode, getting 100% completion for the first 2 ally achievements. Play through it on Hardcore, unlock Insanity mode, getting 100% for the second 2 ally achievements. Start to play through it on Insanity mode... realize "fuck getting 100% on Insanity, that's crazy", and just barrel through, beat it on Insanity.

Then I play the game through AGAIN on easy for the last 2 ally achievements. Then I play the game to level 10 as an Adept and get all the Adept achievements, then play to level 10 as an Engineer and get all the Engineer achievements.
Wow I've done basically the same thing. I've probably played through Eden Prime 20+ times cuz I never like my character's face LOL It's not really torture, just monotonous.

Played through Half Life 2 and it's episodes in the interest of being a fair reviewer. (Should have stopped the moment I got on the hovercraft.)

Playing any old-school game on the highest difficulty setting. Excruciating.
Agree. I have loads of games that i have now switched onto "Hard" settings.

Currently im playing Deus Ex (not completely old school i hear you cry) the first one, on harder settings having completed it with easy and normal modes. I must say, ammo is crap and your health is weak. URGH! lol.

One time in Gran Turismo 4 I thought it might be fun to see how quickly the 1886 Benz Patent Motorwagen could get around the Nurburgring. It was amusing for the first five minutes, and I have no idea why I kept going for the next 55, but after the hour mark I couldn't get out of the "well, I've already come this far, can't quit now" mindset. About two hours and a half hours later I reached the Karussell, and that's when lightning struck a transformer down the street and I lost power. I'm pretty sure that it was god saving me from myself.

That annoying star destroyer bit on The Force Unleashed, I've sat through that on hard for over an hour with barely any progress and that is now the only bit stopping me from getting the hard achievement.

Trying to get EVERYTHING in Dissidia, mainly Inward Chaos and the achievments. It's nerve-wracking!

And over 400 hours of playtime! But I still love it.

Finishing Resident Evil 4. This was damn hard at the time, since there was a point when I did suck at games...
100% Completion on Simpsons: Hit and Run. It took me like three weeks from the time I beat the game.

Now that I decided I want to step up my game, I play most games on Hard difficulty, like Far Cry 2, etc. I don't play some games on Hard simply because my lack of knowledge in the Genre, such as Fallout 3 (since it's also a strategy game) and Company of Heroes. I'm horrible at RTS's.
