What happened with your gamer life that totally screwed it up?

The only PC is my house is broke, and I am currently in the dark ages of my gaming (Options for playing games are: N64, Gamecube/Wii. Damn it all! My family is such a Nintendo lover. I love them meself, though.

Too bad I also share that PC, considering we live in the same house.

And I'd just got Mass Effect 2 as well! Ah well, working through the old N64 games is still just as fun.

So my answer is your answer.
I wonder how many people have figured out I am not 16 or older.

Edit: Woo, World War 2.

My family didn't a PC until 6 years ago, given to me by my school as part of my Duke of Edinburgh "skills" project, that adversely effected my gamer life, as does being a Sega fan (rather than Nintendo), that seems to just get me ridiculed, and I die a bit inside every time Sonic comes out in another game.

What madness is this?

Anyway, it would probably be the time a few years back when I was playing Gothic and suddenly my screen started looking REALLY wonky. Restarting the computer did nothing, upon opening the case for closer inspection it turns out that my video card cooler had fallen off and the chipset had toasted itself.

Sad times...

My roommate ruined my PS3 controller. I swear I'm going to murder him in his sleep.

Aye, he's my little brother.

He's in the same house as me.
Aha.

I just saw Elvis on the telly and all I could think of of Sebastian Haff with pie on his face.

everything was just a mess in the transition between 6th and 7th generation. after gamecube became obsolete, i was at a loss pretty much. wanted a new system, but that was nearly impossible, considering my parents wouldnt buy me anything, and i had about 18 dollars.

We lost the admin rights for our school-PCs. Now I have to rely on the local internet café, and it won't let me play HAWX online. Well well, more TF2 for me then.

Oh, and me!

[sup]Though you weren't too subtle about it[/sup]

As for myself, my computer is also at the repair shop, though this limits my posting capacity, and therefor wrecks my RPing life (which I take more seriously than my Xbox gaming)

Civ IV wouldn't work when I tried to re-install it on Vista after "upgrading" from XP. Luckily Civ Rev came out a few months later on PS3 and Steam did the full pack Vista compatible a year laer.
