did I mention Pokemon? POKEMON!

Near-Future society with beautiful natural scenery and animals with super powers that co-exist mutually with us. It's ferpect.

That's the most obvious answer. It seems the Pokemon never ever ever attack humans, so, yeah, no problems there.

I'd take the trade-off of having to be a vegan to be there (it doesn't seem that any other animals exist and meat is never ever discussed as a food item.)

I stand corrected. The Pokemon universe is absolutely perfect. Also, it doesn't seem murder happens like ever. Or any other major crime outside of Pokemon theft and the occasional property damage.

And kidnapping...that happens sometime but it doesn't escalate from there (I thought it best to not look for images on this subject...but it's happened more than once in the past).

Every time this thread pops up, I chose Pokemon and this time isn't different. At this point in my life I could be surrounded by an entourage of freaking Dragons...or I could have died and become a Pokemon myself...but no matter what: there's that chance that I could control God or, The Devil (because Pokemon Theories).

A close second would be Animal Crossing I suppose...it's seems really easy to make money (even if Tom Nook keeps on taking it and building additions to your house without permission) and, there are NES games so I'm not seeing a downside to the world of Animal Crossing.

However if I could get some bloodline abilities (fusion or taoist magic) then Shadow Hearts I'd get to kill demons and gods. I like the setting even if it would be terrifying knowing some of the monsters and supernatural events that exist.

The world from Arcanum - you've got your classic Tolkien-esque setting that's going through an industrial revolution so as well as sword and sorcery there's technology as well. Slaying Orcs with a Tesla gun never gets old for me.

Also the world from Jade Empire - mainly because I'm a fan of wuxia films and it'd be awesome to live in one, so long as you had all the mystical martial arts skills of course.

Pokemon and Mass Effect (after reapers are defeated) would be my choices as well.

It would be a hard choice between those two though. Either travelling a nature filled world with comparatively barely any crime, catching, collecting and training creatures with magical powers. Or living in an age were travel across the galaxy is an every-day thing, where dozens of different intelligent species come together, and where magic (basically) was invented in the form of biotics...

In the pokemon world I would definitely be a pokemon trainer in Kanto. Not one that aims for all badges, but just one that travels, collects, and trains for fun. (though challenging gyms might come in to see how strong my pokemon have gotten.) I imagine having Rattatta as my starter. (I love rats) An Arcanine which I could ride on. A haunter because they're pretty funny and awesome. And hopefully a Charizard because DRAGONS. Other than that it would depend on what I encountered.

In the mass effect world I would probably want to be a cook on a civilian ship, or a biotic of a later generation.

Once a month this thread pops up, I read the title and immediately thought: "Great another thread where one person mentions the pokeverse and then the entire thread deteriorates into people pining for a world of electric sheep and living sludge."

EVERY time this thread shows up it is the same thing. Been here since 2008, and that one fact does not change.


I'm gonna switch it up a bit and go with Toy Story. Because in 1995 I thought that was the definition of cool.

Not true...in a lot of rpg's you do die. As in, you have to reload a save from an earlier time. In the games you get to re-do the place you died at, yes. But if you were actually in that world, you'd just be dead.

I'll say the Dragon Quest universe, it's huge, it's beautiful and colorful, brimming with life, full of adventures and all kinds of coo-coo people not to mention randomly killing slimes get you money! So my day job would involve killing slimes and getting a good $10 bucks from them, do this for 8 hours a day 5 days a week... I'M RICH!!!

and eventually I can get better gear and travel further to get even more money not to mention I get to hang out with Jessica or Yangus, and even join the world wide association of monster battle/collecting. It's basically Pokemon but with even more things to do

I have often asked myself this question and it is always pokemon, its just an amazing fun place. And it would be utterly beautiful if it was real and not made out of Nintendo software.

The only thing that keeps that from being my desktop is the bibarel. If it was something like a Floatzel, etc. That'd be my wallpaper forever, a badass scene with my favorite pokemon in action fighting a Gyarados? Awesome. Bibarel? Not-awesome-at-all.

I set it as my background when I found it yesterday. Its a great one for me as well because Empoleon is my favourite starter pokemon. I could send you the HD version I found, the Bibarel is not obvious on it at all.

Just found it, Empoleon is actually my favorite pokemon out of all 649.

Regardless, I might set it as such. I've seen the desktop many times but the more and more I look at it, the less and less obvious bibarel is. If I'm truly desperate, I have my own tablets and I could possibly just fill in that slot.

I played pkmn Red religiously back in the day. Played a lot of Crystal afterwards as well. But I never owned a GBA so I gave 3rd gen a miss. But when I saw how awesome Empoleon looked on Serebii.net back in the day, I had to go buy pkmn Pearl, then I decided to catch up and buy Ruby to play on the ds.

I love Empoleon he got me back into pokemon and he is in my top ten up there with Raichu, Charizard and Hydregion. For such an awesome looking pokemon there isnt enough art of him. Another good image is the Lv.X card which I do not collect, but bought for love of said Penguin.
