"Um..good shooting Juliet."

"Thanks," she said with a smirk "I'm happy to pull your trigger anytime."

She was quickly distracted from teasing him further though by Viktor and Karis beginning to argue over whether vampires or demon's were the bigger bastards. Relax boys, you can both be monsters. Still it was irritating to her, she'd been putting up with Viktor's unwarranted suspicion for too long and here was at least a decent opportunity to confront it.

"On the other hand I've lost good friends, because some horn-headed goat fucker decided he couldn't not be a total bastard and try and stake me and mine. Nine men and women in five incidents."

"And I'm sure you tore their horns out their asses," Juliet said "but that doesn't make us them, or them us, you don't trust us? Fine. But blaming us for things that some other assholes did because we share a race, well you don't get any moral high ground there. I never asked to be born a demon, I just try and do good with what I'm stuck with."

She then glanced at Karis "That goes two ways," she said "I'm sure if either of you betrays us the other will be first in line for vengeance, but until then keep your problems in the past."

Lost Gate

The Guard gave Sol a look that pretty much said '... really ...' during his speech about how it would be in his best interest to talk to them over letting Joachim rip the information from his mind. The guard was silent a few moments after Sol had finished, the smirked and let out a short snicker. "Sure, why not, ask away, Sol was it? Ask your questions. At this stage of the operation there's nothing you can do to stop it anyway."

Seth, hands in his pockets as per his usual 'standing there' stance, kept watch over the Mind Flayer, ready to grab and extract Sol and the prisoner since he seemed willing to cooperate. To say he did trust the creature was a bit of an understatement, what trust could you true have in a creature that saw and treated every one around them as potential food sources, and he detested feeling like he 'needed' to call one in, but that was the sad state of the situation in his mind.

While all that was going on Karis just shrugged at Juliet's chiding of him and Viktor. "I would not have lasted long as a Mercenary if I turned on my contractors, or those I was hired to aid." he said, shooting Viktor a pointed look from under his helm, and left it at that.

"52. That is the number of brothers and sisters in arms I've had to bury because your parasitic brethren decided they would rather ambush and kill the ones they hired to do the job they could not. I had to black list your whole race because they proved they could keep their traitorous, back stabbing, ways in check long enough to complete a simple contract."

Viktor replied with a soft snort of contempt. ?You?re just bitter that they managed to beat you to the punch.? As he spoke old memories played behind his eyes; October 26 1955, just outside of Belgrade. They?d hired some on hand demon mercs to fill in for some of their own who?d suffered a transportation fuck up. The mission had gone smooth, and Viktor and ?his? crew had been on the way back to meet the mercs and settle up, when the mercs van t-boned them in an intersection and hosed down the sedan he was in, with sliver AK fire. Luck more than anything else saved him?his friend Yuri and two other new bloods weren?t so lucky. That was the first time...

"And I'm sure you tore their horns out their asses, but that doesn't make us them, or them us, you don't trust us? Fine. But blaming us for things that some other assholes did because we share a race, well you don't get any moral high ground there. I never asked to be born a demon, I just try and do good with what I'm stuck with."

His response was a growl that could?ve made a lion back down. ?Stay out of this slag?? He muttered. His free hand unclenched and came to rest against the cave wall, his fingers cracking stone. ?Your kind is worse than his??

"I would not have lasted long as a Mercenary if I turned on my contractors, or those I was hired to aid."

Not that that has ever stopped you pricks before?

William blush a bit from Juliet comment, though that quickly went away once the arguing between Viktor and Karis started. Listening to the sides as they blame the others for someone else betrayal. Sighing, as he knew how hurt a betrayal is, especially since it came from his own Father.

Swallowing his fear of being ridicule of what he going to do next, he step forward between the groups of people. Taking a deep breath as he shouted out "Can we not fight here!?" Yelling a bit louder then he plan too. He even surprise himself from his normal quiet demener. Seeing he got everyone attention as he quiet down to his normal self. "Um..I- I know you two have b-bad memories of each other races pulling betrayals against each others...but that doesn't mean its going to happen now!"

William said as he try to keep up his confidence, "Viktor. I know you hate demons with probably..good..reasons! But It doesn't mean Karis or Juliet will betray us! And Karis..I don't know you that well..but Viktor isn't the type of Vampire to stab us in the back either! I..I know how it feels to be betray by someone you should trust." Tears welled up a bit, but he held them back. "I didn't want to put trust in people either..but..I'm here now..And if you still don't trust each others..t-thats fine! But we can't fight each other at this moment!"

"Brutal, I hadn't figured you to be the 'break the limbs we don't need' type Mirabelle."

"You know..I'm with Seth. Didn't expect you to go all out on the demon. Though gotta say, good job on it nonetheless."

Mirabelle didn't understand why she was being congradulated for doing what she thought of as the necessary thing to do when capturing a demon. Still, from what she knew and heard of him, she was pretty sure that she shouldn't take that as a good thing...of course, Tomas agreed with him and she wasn't sure of what that meant. She'd have to review later.

Meanwhile, Viktor and Karis started bickering over who's species was the most backstabbing, something she didn't know she wouldn't want on this mission. Heck, at this point, she was ready to just write off both species as backstabbers and be done with it. Still, at least they were still somewhat focused on the...thing that Seth had summoned so hopefully they wouldn't come to blows. Of course, she got sidetracked when they started counting the number of friends they had post to the the side and begain wondering just how old Karis was. Depending on his age, she figured that she could write up a small equation to tell them how many friends they lost every, say, half century and present it to them. Hopefully that would get one of them to shut up.

"Can we not fight here!?"

Mirabelle was brought back to reality by Will screaming that. She hadn't expected to hear that so soon, much less coming from him. She listened as he started trying to mend the growing rift between Viktor and Karis, breaking down into tears all the long, and felt both relieved, concerned, a bit jealous of him for it. After all, he had worked up the courage to finally tell them to shut up, something no-one else wanted or cared to do.

Still, now she hoped they just listened instead of ignoring him or even turning on him...actually, she was pretty sure neither would. After all, that would just give the other more fuel to attack the other with and she figured that they were smarter than that. Hopefully.

"Your kind is worse than his..."

"Slag?" she rolled her eyes "haven't heard that one before."

She was about to say more when Will interrupted them, clearly upset and begging them to set their animosity aside. Huh, didn't realize he cared that much, then again he's probably just scared. We won't be able to protect him if we're infighting I suppose. Still there was something she could use here.

"I didn't want to put trust in people either..but..I'm here now..And if you still don't trust each others..t-thats fine! But we can't fight each other at this moment!"

"Well said," she said, putting a hand comfortingly on his shoulder.

Then she turned back to Viktor "He's right you know," she said "you're letting your stubborn rage blind you, you don't have to consider us comrades but we are allies and that demands mutual respect."

She was careful to glance at Karis while she spoke, she had to appear evenhanded after all. Of course she wasn't done with Vicky just yet.

"I don't know what 'my kind' did to you in the past," she said "but if you want to blame me for it you can do it some other time, right now I don't have the patience for your blood feud bullshit."

"For now you might not want us watching each others backs, but at least we can focus forward on the enemy," she held out her hand to shake, a peace offering of sorts "deal?"

Karis snorted at Viktor's comment. "Likely as revenge for some betrayal by your clan. After all, it's not like the vampire clans don't have a history of betraying and murdering non members on a whim." Karis' tone was remarkably calm though carried no shortage of contempt for the vampire, he would have continued, but Juliet jumped in, then William then Juliet again.

As they spoke though he sighed a little inwardly, BOTH of them where facing himself and Viktor and not the Mind Flayer. Understandably so, but it was silly to give your back to a potential threat. Still Williams outburst was impressive, and more then he'd have thought from the boy, and Juliet played well off of it.

"I've no need for the vampire's trust, or his respect." Karis said after the pair finished. "All I require of him is for him to do the tasks assigned him so this matter can come to a successful conclusion." He was going to add a bit at the end about 'staying away from his daughter' but the fact he was even going to say such a thing was enough to stop him and think about that for a few moments. "That, and to 'stay away from my daughter'."

"Sure, why not, ask away, Sol was it? Ask your questions. At this stage of the operation there's nothing you can do to stop it anyway."

"Well, uhm, explain that to me. Oh, and the crystals too," Sol continued, remembering what Daniel had said. "Where did you get them? But the most important thing is what this operation of yours is about. And... I suppose, the goal."

Hopefully that's fine.

"I didn't want to put trust in people either..but..I'm here now..And if you still don't trust each others..t-thats fine! But we can't fight each other at this moment!"

"For now you might not want us watching each others backs, but at least we can focus forward on the enemy, deal?"

They've got a point, hopefully the "older gentlemen" can come to an agreement. I mean, it shouldn't be that difficult.

He had a bad feeling, though. Still, he tried to speak again, he and the demon guard both had been distracted by the fighting. "Anyways, as I---"

"I've no need for the vampire's trust, or his respect. All I require of him is to the tasks assigned him so this matter can be a favorable conclusion. That, and to 'stay away from my daughter'."

It wasn't going to stop, was it? They always needed to have the last remark, like children poking each other and never wanting to be poked last. Sol inhaled air -or whatever it was down here- carefully, trying to calm down, but it was already too late. This was fucking bullshit.

"For the love of... Can you two please shut up?! Please just... Stop that inane bickering, I'm trying to work here! You see this guy? How is he going to listen to me when you're arguing?! Seriously, it just goes back and forth and back and forth and no one cares!" Sol said, feeling more than a little peeved at the whole situation. He actually felt angry, for a change.

Two professionals who couldn't agree, sure, he'd seen that a lot. Two professionals who couldn't agree in the middle of the battle-field, however, where something or someone dangerous could attack with a second's notice?!

Shh, Sol. It's not...

Well, it was! He turned towards them, a calm, yet very clear anger in his whole demeanour. To say that he was pissed... well, it'd be an understatement.

"Either that guy--" he pointed at Karis. "Learns to shut up and stop being such a drama queen, or we might as well give up already! Because this isn't going to get solved by fighting or arguing or trust or anything! So just. Be. Quiet. And perhaps I might get some information from this demon-guard, and we can maybe stop whatever is going to happen, and hinder a whole lot of people and demons and everything from getting killed!" He narrowed his eyes, making it clear that whoever poked again would be dead to him, before turning over to the guard again.

"So... Info. Now."

"Can we not fight here!?...I didn't want to put trust in people either?but...I'm here now...and if you still don't trust each other...t-that?s fine! But we can't fight each other at this moment!"

William's outburst caught Viktor off guard, and it made him flinch. He reminded Viktor so much of his long dead brother that seeing the boy so upset hurt him. "I-I'm sorry William. I should know better than to let my temper get the better of me."

His shoulders slumped slightly and he offered the young shape-shifter a small smile as Juliet chimed in. Reading both him and Karis her own riot act, she then offered her hand as an attempt at a peace offering; but all he saw was his 'beloved' Melina sneering back at him. Spitting at her feet he brushed her hand aside. "Yudu na hooey shliukha! Your kind will never have my respect..."

"Likely as revenge of some betrayal by your clan. After all, it's not like the vampire clans don't have a history of betraying and murdering non-members on a whim."

His fist clenched, fingers furrowing small channels in the stone. Part of him wanted to rip the armoured bastard?s throat out and feed on him until there was nothing left but a desiccated corpse, and another wanted to beat him until he was nothing more than a shattered and crippled mass...maybe let the mind flayer take him as a plaything...instead he finally took his eyes completely off the illithid and spat once more, this time onto the cheek of Karis' helmet. "Materi tvojij kovin'ka, Moskal'..." He growled, before moving away from the demons and closer to Daniel.

He missed the words, but from the tone and the expression on his face, Viktor could tell Solomon was less than pleased with him as well. I need to apologize to him as well... He thought, directing his attention once more to the 'thing' standing beside Seth.

Tomas

Tomas sigh as they small group argue with each other. Though mostly it was between Viktor and Karis. Though the small outburst from William did surprise him. He always thought the little guy was out of place with these bunch. Though being able to try to talk some sense into the two top killers on their team, besides Sol, was impressive. Then at least Juliet and Sol were trying to help him out.

Though Tomas thought it was futile in even trying. At least with Karis with his reaction. Shaking his head as he kept out of it. He was here on a mission and he rather not get into petite fights between a demon and a vampire.

William

William was sadden that Karis and Viktor didn't seem to put anything behind them and were still pissed at each other. As well as Viktor being rude to Juliet for trying to settle things peacefully. He sighs as he lowered his head a bit. Not all was lost as it seems the fighting was going to stop for now, and Sol atleast try to help out just like Juliet. Though it doesn't mean that the fighting wouldn't pick up later.

Walking off as he sits by a wall and curl up a bit. Hoping that the fighting would stop completely but it seem that a bigger fight will happen soon. Will whisper to himself softly, "Perhaps father was right...I am worthless.." Hoping that he would be left alone for a bit. He wasn't crying just yet, but he could feel it come out if someone ask him if he was alright.

"Yudu na hooey shliukha! Your kind will never have my respect..."

"I'm sorry William indeed," she said mockingly, her eyes darting over to the upset boy "I never asked for your respect, just your cooperation, but I can see you're too blinded by vengeance to give me anything."

She turned away from Viktor, clearly she was getting nowhere right now at least in part because Karis lacked any sense of tact, decency, or social intelligence. Brutes, both of them. Where one door closed another opened though. Sol at least was still trying to make progress (and contributing to the chiding of bickerers) and William was very clearly upset. First things first she would try to cheer William, then perhaps she would aid Sol if he required it.

"My apologies Sol," she said "we will save the childish bickering for another time."

That said she walked over to William and sat down next to him setting a hand comfortingly on his shoulder.

"Don't let it bother you, he's just being stubborn," she said "You tried and that's what counts, not many would have the balls to try and stand between a vampire and a powerful demon."

Daniel just stood back, pinching the brige of his nose in frustration, and watched as these two so-called professionals went at each other. He could have said something and shut this conversation down before things got worse, but Daniel wasn't in any sort of mood to argue with an enraged Demon and Vampire at this moment.

"[small]Yes we get it you two.[/small]" Daniel said quietly as he turned his back on the pair of them, taking a few steps away from the hastily escalating scene, pocketing the Soul Crystal in his coat pocket as he did.

"[small]Relations between the Vampire Clans and the Demons have been sour for such a long time; but now this is not the time for a petty argument. The more time we spend fighting, the closer our enemy has to resurrecting the Prince of Darkness, Lucifer himself; no doubt he's is going to be cranky once that happens. I mean, hell, this alliance thing we got going is fractured enough as is, we do not need in-fighting to further break things apart.[/small]

[small]If you two want to take shots at each other, fine by me; but could you wait till after Lucy has been sealed away, hopefully for good this time. But right now though, get your heads together, and get yourselves back into the game; because right now, we have a job to do.[/small]" Daniel continued to say quietly to himself, the other possibly mistaking it for him just mumbling.

The demon guard just chuckled a little "What do you really expect from a Demon and Vampire being around each other." he said, mostly to Sol. "As for 'what our end goal' is. You really don't know? You can't hazard a guess? Resurrecting our True Lord is only the first step of many in reclaiming our realm, and undoing the damage these False Lords have done." He started, and smirked as he spoke. "Which naturally will mean reasserting our dominance in the human real as well. Shame I won't get to see the looks of terror on the faces of the people that live here when that happens, but still, it's a nice mental image."

The demon then looked right at Viktor "and no race will be spared, your kind will be beaten and broken like every one else. Vampire are in desperate need of being reminded their place after all." his gaze then turned to Seth "Nor will you and yours be spared ether. Any one who spat at the faces of the greatest among us are to be culled with the rest."

Seth didn't say anything for a moment but a snake made of demonic energy coiled around the Guards broken arm and squeezed, causing the guard to cry out in pain a bit. "That's all very interesting, but be a good boy and tell us about the Crystals, and why 'we can't stop you'."

"The ritual has already begun, and orders where all gates leading there are to be sealed until after it's finished and our Lord is resurrect. The gates are sealed from the other side and under heavy guard as well, what you have here, is no where near enough to 'Brute Force' your way through. As for the Crystals" he paused giving a slight chuckle "As I understand it, they where made for us and generously donated to our cause, with the blessings of their creator. Seems she, and the other Angels are quiet pissed off about the current state of the Demon Realm as well." He said, cruel smirk on his face. "These Crystals are just a surplus. All we need is already on the other side."

While that bit of news settled into every ones minds, Joachim had been listening, and glancing around the room. A return to the old ways appealed to him greatly. So much he could do with the freedom to take victims and meals as he pleased instead of having to deal with Seth and his ilk to get by.

After a few moments of silence Joachim broke the silence, by trying to paralyze Seth with a spell, it failed as Seth caught the glint of a the magics at the last second and warped away with Sol to where the others where. "To return to the old ways, to be free of the nonsensical ramblings of these farcical rulers in the Demon Realm. The thought of that coming to pass is to good to pass up." the Mind Flayer said as he readied another spell.

William

William didn't know how to take what was Juliet saying. On one hand, she was right, he did try to talk down a high level demon and a Vampire. On the other, he should have seen it coming. Him? A lowly human trying to talk down beings like them? What chance did have. Though as he felt Juliet hand on his shoulder, he wanted to hug her tightly and cry.

Though he snapped out of his saddness as he heard the demon captive scream out in pain. Looking up, he could see Seth integrating him. He couldn't make out what was being said, though he did see the demon that Seth summon try to attack him. "Juliet!" William scream as he transform back into his Gun form.

Everything at the moment vanish. All he could think about was protecting his teammates from Joachim. Hoping Juliet could understand what he had in mind and able to take the quick shot as he pour forth his power into the shot.

Tomas

Tomas shook his head at the whole fighting between the Demon and the Vampire. Rolling his eyes a bit as he wonder how such beings could fight at a time like this. 'Guess they can't have a focus mind like a Dragon.' Tomas thought. He return his focus back on Seth and the Captive demon.

Watching Seth work to get information out, and from what Tomas heard, he didn't like it one bit at all. They would need to work overtime just to get there in time to stop the whole thing. Though before anything else could happen. The demon that Seth summon, Joachim, attack Seth. Though Seth dodge, the demon was prepare another spell. Tomas notice William changing, so he was going to buy him some time and hope the shot could hurt this thing. Charnging forward as he transform into his semi-dragon form. His claws fully out as he swipe, wanting to cause a distraction for now.

Pissed off as he was, he saw the hurt on William?s face and between that and Solomon?s comments, he felt like an ass; hearing Daniel?s muttered condemnation didn?t help him much either. What the hell man? You know you need to suck it up and work with the demons?even Seth?you?re not that angry kid you were when the Germans and Soviets came? Focusing back on what really mattered, he listened to their captive lay everything out.

"?and no race will be spared, your kind will be beaten and broken like everyone else. Vampire are in desperate need of being reminded their place after all."

Viktor scoffed at the sheer arrogance. Yet you need our power to bring ol? Luci back. Combined the Queens, united as they were, might pose a threat to Lord Tepes in a fight; but Lucifer alone, even with a boost, against all four Demon Lords, and Lord Tepes? Not a chance?even less so if House Bathory could convince their Lady to come out of seclusion. He smiled with approval as Seth ?encouraged? the demon to be forthcoming about the crystals?though the implications were less than ideal.

He was about to ask just ?who? the Holy ***** was, when the mind flayer made its move. His instincts moved before his mind did, and even as Seth yanked Solomon clear, his pistol roared as he snapped two slugs towards Joachim?s squid-like head. Even as he shot, he knew he couldn?t match on of them straight up, so he lunged for the captive.

Momentum took him and the demon out of Joachim?s immediate grasp. The demon gasped in pain from the shattered arm, as Viktor rolled free and hauled him up. ?Am?am I supposed to be grateful, leech?? It hissed. ?I?m already dead, I won?t tell you anymore.? Viktor gave the demon a predatory smile that seemed to quell its bravado. ?Don?t care what you have to say?just need a boost.? Before the demon could respond, Viktor sunk his teeth into the demon?s neck and tore out a large chunk of flesh; blood poured from the wound, and Viktor drank it like a drowning man gasps for air.

Casting the body aside, he leapt at the mind flayer with his bare hands, the gun having been discarded when he tackled the prisoner.

Which naturally will mean reasserting our dominance in the human real as well. Shame I won't get to see the looks of terror on the faces of the people that live here when that happens, but still, it's a nice mental image."

Actually. Fuck everything I said. This guy better suffer before he dies.

Sol wasn't awfully concerned with the affairs of the demon realms, and it mattered little to him whether it changed leaders. However, now it was different. Now it included the human world.

He could have said a lot. It probably would have been pretty colorful too, but he bit his lip, and let Seth speak. Sol knew very well his state of mind wasn't the best right now.

"As I understand it, they where made for us and generously donated to our cause, with the blessings of their creator. Seems she, and the other Angels are quiet pissed off about the current state of the Demon Realm as well."

What?

He pushed the thoughts and questions out of his mind. There was so much he could have thought about. Who was "she?" An angel, from the sound of it... but what about God? Would God really favor demons over the human realm? That was ridiculous, it had to be the angels themselves acting, they were supposed to be proud. And only some of them. And besides, a lying, scum of a demon was saying it.

If only I hadn't been so...

Busy keeping down his anger? Eager to let Seth speak instead? So---

Suddenly the silence ended, by the Mind Flayer speaking a spell. By Seth's reaction, it wasn't for their benefit, and Sol suddenly saw the environments around him shift as they warped away.

"To return to the old ways, to be free of the nonsensical ramblings of these farcical rulers in the Demon Realm. The thought of that coming to pass is to good to pass up."

"You son of a..." Sol growled under his breath.

Of course the octopus would be a traitor.

It was becoming a rule by now; anything that looked like it belonged in the sea, was pure evil. Sol started struggling. He was sure Seth had taken him away in order to protect him, but Sol didn't want to be protected. He didn't want to be held. The hunter disappeared as he used the amulet, forcefully pushing himself out of Seth's grasp before moving ahead.

Sorry, but I'm not going to stand back this time.

In a blink of an eye he had found one of his shielding spells -written on a star-shaped post it note like all the rest of them- and used it, the magic undetectable due to his amulet, and gotten his knife. He moved a little out of the way, to the left, so that Tomas' wouldn't accidentally swipe at him. Raising his knife, he aimed for the heart of the evil tentacle-monster, stabbing as many times as he could before carefully backing a little away when Viktor was done feeding on the demon -Sol would surely feel some pity for the guy later, but not at all now- , just so that they didn't hit each other.

I feel like getting some sushi when this shit is done.

Daniel just rolled his eyes in contempt as the battered and broken demon began spouting whatever plan it was that they concocted; and to be frank, it was a rather clich? sounding plan. After all, if it wasn't a plan to take over the world, it was usually their goal to spread as much fear and chaos as they could. Regardless, Daniel would not stand idly by and watch the world literally burn; both he and the Order would do their best to protect humanity should the worst come to pass. Hell, it would be more than likely that his kin would descend to fight once more.

However, what came next from the demon's mouth would no doubt cause pain for Daniel.

"As I understand it, they where made for us and generously donated to our cause, with the blessings of their creator. Seems she, and the other Angels are quiet pissed off about the current state of the Demon Realm as well."

No! It cannot be!

With that, Daniel put some distance between himself and the rest of the group, he was in shock from the announcement, and needed a moment to himself.

This cannot be true, Father would not turn their back on Mankind, even in it's darkest hour. There has to be... those amongst my kin who would act against Father's wishes? But who? And more importantly, why? It was then that Daniel took out the Soul Crystal from his coat pocket and looked at it once more in the light of the cave they were in; and for a split second, he realised who it was.

"Sister, how could you do this?" He quietly asked in a rhetorical fashion, hoping no one had heard him.

Mirabelle honestly felt both annoyed and disappointed in Viktor and Karis for not being able to get along. Of course, just so long as they weren?t at each other?s throats it was ok but it seemed that the group would definitely need to fix that once they got the time. As for the demon?well, she could see why most people thought demons were arrogant. She could even almost sympathize with Viktor on that front?almost. Still, the information that the demon provided about their plan, however predictable, wasn?t helpful, mostly just boastful. She especially found the comment about vampires learning their place while his associates used a vampire sword and ring to bring their leader back just so hypocritically ignorant that she couldn?t help but register his words as a desperate attempt to try and wound them (or at least Viktor) before he died. Still, for all his boasting, at least he provided some useful information afterwards?

?As I understand it, they were made for us and generously donated to our cause, with the blessings of their creator. Seems she, and the other Angels are quiet pissed off about the current state of the Demon Realm as well."

Mira?s eyes popped up with confusion at that. Why the angels of all people would try to help the demons bring about their old enemy didn?t make sense. The only explanation that she could come up with was that they didn?t like the idea of the demons actually allying themselves into one force?which, if she understood the situation correctly, still didn?t make sense since the guy they were bringing back would likely forge them into a unified force anyways. Of course, this was the first time she had heard angels being brought into the?actually, it may have been the first time she heard angels be brought up at all ever since this started?wait, no, the cat demon had mentioned an angel realm.

After the demon said that, everything stayed calm for a few moments before the sea thing Seth had summoned attacked, trying to hit his summoner. It seemed odd that it would choose that moment to attack but not unexpected apparently since both him and Sol were able to get away before it could hurt them.

"To return to the old ways, to be free of the nonsensical ramblings of these farcical rulers in the Demon Realm. The thought of that coming to pass is too good to pass up."

Mirabelle sighed inwardly at the tactical stupidity of the monster for planning its attack right then. Of course, that also lifted her spirits a bit. After all, why attack them if it was supposed to be impossible for them to win and stop the resurrection? She figured that even that thing didn?t believe the demon in them posing no threat or being too late to stop Lucifer from being revived, leading her too believe that they still had a chance. Of course, she already thought that but the perceived affirmation was still nice.

The others didn?t dally in attacking Joachim, with Will changing, Tomas slashing, Vik charging, and Sol stabbing. It was really impressive?but also a bit crowded so she elected to stay back to instead be a part of the ?second wave? if what they tried didn?t work. Besides, the risk of somebody getting injured was great enough without her getting involved, so she prepared herself to charge at Joachim, just in case.

"Juliet!"

"Right back to it then," she muttered, grabbing William and moving towards the action.

She supposed it was fortunate she had a ranged option, getting involved in a melee involving Vik seemed like a poor decision at the moment. Besides this way she could keep her physical capabilities somewhat hidden from her allies. Really though she couldn't help but feel impressed by how readily Will was transforming into a weapon, didn't need to be ordered into it.

Still her focus was more on the enemy for the moment, there would be time to ponder other things later. For now she needed to focus on her aim, specifically the Mind Flayer. She knew the creature had dangerous spells but typically little physical defense, and she doubted it's squishy form would hold up to being shot very well. That said with the fighting going on she refrained from shooting, after all friendly fire would not be pleasant.

Demon blood was like Red Bull concentrate for a vampire; hyped up on the raw power of it, everything seemed to be moving slower for Viktor. Even as he closed in on Jochim, he saw blood begin to fountain out from the Illithid?s side, even as his shots buzzed past harmlessly.

Must be Sol. He thought; but that was all the pondering he had time for as his club-like fist connected with the side of Jochim?s squid-like head, catapulting the unfortunate creature towards Tomas. Viktor turned in time to see the half dragon deftly dodge the flailing Illithid, and tear open its un-stabbed side with his razor sharp claws, as momentum carried Jochim past.

Staggering free of everyone, Jochim cast a quick spell as dark blood streamed down his sides; they weren?t attacks or even an attempt to flee, merely a desperate binding to stop himself from bleeding out this instant. Unfortunately for the Illithid, that also brought him to a halt, and the instant he stopped moving Juliet fired twice, putting both shots between Jochim?s eyes and the contents of his head all over the wall?and ceiling?and floor.

Still shaking from the over-abundance of energy in his body, Viktor made himself take a slow, deep breath. ?Everyone okay?? He said finally.
