The fact that he makes an enormous deal over a 'sin to win' contest for EA makes me realize, he's not exactly a cancer cure... so his opinion means to me as much as a fortune cookie. EA makes a hundred gridiron football games and two actual football games in one year, no sh*t they're sexist and homophobic! Even if EA indemnifies by sucking up to this hapless sod and gives him second prize, it still doesn't change me mind about EA; games worth nothing but stealing from yer local pathetic GameStop and throwing out after getting bored with them.

It's noble of pixelpoet to refuse the prize. I would have taken it and laughed like a madman

I don't like how this guy thinks EA specifically overlooked the LGBT. I don't this guy understands that the contest wasn't made for everyone. It's not like EA just did this to piss off the LGBT.
EA's contest was poorly thought out, for one. I'm not sure exactly how they could miss the sexist overtones in the description of both the contest and prize, as well as alienate gay and straight female players all in one fell swoop, but they managed it. Perhaps it was all a ploy to generate even more publicity for Dante's Inferno through negative publicity. The old 'any press is good press 'technique.

In any case, he isn't saying that EA had it in for LGBT gamers, but that they were excluded. The poor language used in the description made it sound like you had to harass a booth babe and exploit that with photos. Obviously the intent/method of entering was more innocuous. But on the surface, in its presentation, this was crude and ignorant.
