Who here is gay/lesbian/bi?
Who is against/for gays/lesbians/bi?
And why are you against/for gays/lesbians/bi?

This is not a chance to bash people due to there views and/or life choices. This is to gain understanding and insight, not start a flame war. Thanks for your help

I am for gay rights. Reason: they are people too. Simple as that. A person has a right to be happy. It is nobody's place to say otherwise. What you do behind closed doors is not my business(unless I am also behind them which happens more often than not).

To be honest I'm look for people who have strong belief, for or against, so I can understand why there is such conflict over homosexuality

I'm Hetrosexual and completely neutral to others sexuality. Don't parade it in public (Just because your sexuality is different doesn't mean I want to see you making out in public. Heck, I speak up when Hetero couples are rude like that.) and I'll let you live your lives.

I won't actively lobby for them but I will stand up for gay rights because I believe everyone has a right to be who they want to be.

I personally don't give a toss about you either way.. as a section of society you've managed to legitimise yourselves, you're accepted.. Get over yourselves... This hasn't been an issue in 20 years.

I'm all for gay/lesbian/other rights. They're people just like the rest of us, and deserve the same treatment the rest of us are entitled to. All the same, however, I'll admit that I still get a little uncomfortable seeing a same-sex couple expressing their affections (though I'll fight tooth and nail for their right to do it).

Racism and sexism hasn't been an issue for even longer but people are still on guard to ensure that there is no racism or sexism in society. Shouldn't the gay community be allowed to bring attention to the need to protect themselves from discrimination like Black people and women?

these kinds of topics typically devolve into an army of nerds restating the same two or three opinions ad infinitum, with a few ongoing back-and-forth discussions here and there to which no one else pays attention.

I'm bisexual, I fucking hate homophobes. They have NO justification for hating on us, and they say WE should be ashamed? That's so ironic.
What's worse, I'm almost certain my dad is a HUGE homophobe, which is most likely gonna fuck up my entire life once I finally decide to come out to him.
Actually, an interesting thing people should note about (at least some) bisexuals is that we're not all permanently attracted to both sexes, nor equally. I have 'gay swings' and 'straight swings' where I'm more attracted to one sex than the other, usually they span 1-2 days. I don't have neutral swings very often, but I am having one right now... also I'm generally 60-40 hetero-homosexual.

Eh, it's a topic I love to argue around. I'm feeling unsatisfied right now, someone find me a homophobe to castrate, decimate and incinerate. Otherwise known as the CD-I method (see what I did there? :3)
