Sorry to be a bit dickish but if you're going to get pissy about people posting to a thread to discuss something after you've made the "uber-point" then maybe it's time to bug off. Honestly, this was a fairly reasonable and non-aggressive discussion until you started doing the trollish flame-baitery.

As it was a discussion me and Dingo were having over exclusivity and how that plays out in the current gen console wars, I will put in my two cents.

Namely, it was a theoretical example. Besides that thread and a couple of "wouldn't it be nice" articles I have seen no mention of Gears going to any other system. Given that as a 3rd person shooter it isn't that exceptional (which is not to say it's at all bad, it's very good) by the time it came to a point where it is positioned as a multi-platform title I doubt that Sony would be interested in it. I doubt MS would be too interested in it at that time either. But I have no crystal ball, when Gears of War 7 is being released for the Nintendo super in 2030 I may change my attitude.

As for all the fanboyism going on in here, I would like to let axia and Ravenrandomnumbers know that neither of you are Bill Gates so your ultimate assessments are just chattering if you insist on repeating them thirty flipping times.

The PC is not considered in the same field of competition as consoles (now you know) primarily because a PC is inherently not a console, which is why you will be able to find a plethora of console "exclusives" available on PC. What they are saying is that it is exclusive to a particular console among consoles.

Finally for all the "Gears sucks" and "Killzone sucks worse" posts, while both games are subject to personal taste, both Gears and Killzone are top notch games for their systems and in their genre. While you may not like them, unit sales unfortunately counter your assessment of the titles suckery (the halo and FF argument).

I did hear rumors of Gears 3 being too big for the 360's disc capabilities which would force them to use Blu-Ray. By that time, I'm pretty sure the 360 will have its own Blu-Ray device.

As to Gears 2, it comes out in just about 2 weeks. there's no way it'll be for the PS3.

You can touch the 360 without paying for Live--I think you misunderstand how that works. Paid Live is mostly about multiplayer. So the 360 is more like the girl who won't go in for three-ways unless you pick the other girls up at a club with a cover charge, while the PS3 will bring girls home from the regular bar.

As for getting yelled at, there is a mute option in most games, so the 360 is like the blonde who will gag the other girl in the three-way if you want her to because the other girl is annoying.

And Gears is awesome. Just like God of War. Both GoW games are awesome exclusives.

I don't think that the three-way analogy works in this instance...

I don't thinkk there can be one. I agree with Indigo, the PS3 is much more like the nerdy brunette. That and well, I've always had a thing for brunette ...although my g/f is a blonde...curses!

No it will never. M$ will not change to using blu-ray until the next console cycle.
