Alright i have an idea...
two people from the escapist (who have xbox live) go through the story together to find reason
a reason that would prove them wrong or not
if you think it's a bad idea then that's okay
but if you want to help send me a message over xbox live and we will go through the campaign together

The Locust could have captured her and brought her to their civilization on E-Day because they needed a leader. OR, they could be holding her captive as of now to gain intelligence about the humans whereabouts. Maria could be the one teaching them English. And how does the Locust Queen speak fluent English?

Well the GoW suffers from what I call M.E.S. (Mass Effect Syndrome). This occurs when aliens who have only been around for maybe a decade or so can learn to speak English more fluently than the main character.

i can assure you that i did not take this from any of those websites becasue i have never been on the gamespot forums and i have never been to epic.com or kotaku.com. and thanks to everyone else for supporting my theory.

I don't care what anyone says but I know that Dom is the creator of all things. Dom saw no challenge in life so created the Locust, they are still no challenege for him but he continues to torment human kind because they did nothing to deserve the peace he could have created. Please refer to Gears Of War when Kim (nice but dim) is killed by genral Ramm (Pamm). Delta is trapped in a tomb, a beserker comes and chomps up a guy. Dom says, and I quote "Oh my God!" note the word "my" you see Dom gives a sense of personal belong over God, Dom gives credit to creating the world to God as no one is worthy (aside a chosen few) to know that Dom is the true creator of all. Also refer to an earlier scene when Marcus confronts the cornel guy (his name is not good enough to remember), as soon as Dom steps off of the King Raven, the cornel says "step aside" purley showing Dom's supiriority to everyone else. Dom's wife may be the Locust queen but please remember, Dom is the Locust King, as they are his personal belongings. Dom will end this war with a dramatic flash, he may even give the illusion of death and live on through the holy book of Dom (soon to go into unlicensed and underground publication). Please also remember that Dom will only end this war if his compassion for his fellow man (man God in Dom's case) is high enough for him to relieve their suffering.

i think its possible but we never know what epic wants to do. but it makes you think, why is Dom so important and why doesnt he die like other sidekicks in games. if Dom's wife is the locust queen then we can expect a giant twist in the story.

While that is a good theory I doubt that is what is really going on, because you have to remember this is Cliffy B. and Epic that we are talking about, and neither have ever come up with a good or original story and for them to actually give even two thoughts to the plot would amaze me.

Though, if you want to get theological about it the Maria connotation could lead you down two paths: 1) Any number of Saint Maria references, particularly that of being a martyr; or 2) a corrupted version of Mary, like a tainted Madonna or such. Or, I could just be giving Cliffy and his ilk too much credit.

That seems like it could work but if you played GoW 2 yet I believe you see Maria is not the locust queen but in the research facility if you pick up a case file it has to do with a patient named ruth whos joints were inflaming and cried out in pain I don't remember all of it but something about trying to cure her maybe she became the locust queen. Also the sirens seemed to be locust as well even though they were once humans and the video of Nigles explaing the mountain you drive the centaur through has locust strongholds so maybe locust are evolved humans, maybe not dunno just my theories any thoughts?

No she was already when Dom found her but I was just comparing images of the locust queen and maria and their face looks exactly alike so my guess is that for the locust queen they copied marias DNA for their queen making Maria nothing but a dried up husk.

That whole thing about his mom seems not possible if you look at pics of Maria and Lcoust queen side by side they do look alot alike but locust queen has shorter hair than maria but it still same type of hair cut but no pony tail they are pretty much the same body type but I really am not 100% on that I origianly thought it was a patient whos file you can read in the war journal if you find it in the research facility I'll have to re read it but who knows.
