I tend to get rather geeky about WoW stuff...being an avid pve rogue it rather pisses me off when people ask me why I dont own at pvp...

I'm dungeon specced not pwnage spec...different skill set.

I have 3-5 buttons to work with...subtley build has upwards of 7 all used in rapid succession with timing required.

No one seems to get the fact that being a rouge can be hard, you have to keep up with the dps as much as possible while watching your threat AND managing energy regen to the max while its pretty much constantly gone.

Well I got into a large argument with a teacher and a friend about what art actually is. My teacher got angry at me and threatened to send me outside and give me a detention just because he was losing the argument, such a dick.

I'm a bit of a political geek, so when someone gets something wrong that they should know, I get pissed. Like someone saying "Obama is the first black president", that pisses me off. (He is the 6th, if you don't count Clinton.)

When it comes to geeky things in the conventional sense, I have been known to get obvious things wrong on purpose just so all the people who have a higher sense of geekdom can correct me in an angry fury of posts.
So Obama isn't the first black president? Seriously? I thought non whites had only had the vote for about 50 years or so, who were the other black presidents? Because wikipedia is calling you a liar

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/President_of_the_United_States#Qualification.2C_disqualification_and_common_practice

(This is not sarcasm! Also, many apologies if I have the 50 year thing totally wrong, I'm not exactly a student of american history.)
If I remember right, it was Coolidge, Jackson, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Harding. They are of African descent, sure they're not pure African, but neither is Obama. Of course if you're judging who Africans are by the color of their skin, then yes, Obama is the first visibly dark-skinned African descended president.

By "black president" I was referring to someone of African descent, not someone with dark skin.
If you go back far enough everyone's african.

I can't stand people calling The Doctor "Doctor Who"

It's an alien, yes, but so was ET, that thing is a Xenomorph

"Beam me up scotty" was never, EVER used in an episode. let it go
Actually I've never understood why people call the aliens in Aliens xenomorph. The term is used in the context of the movies to describe something unknown. It really just means alien/strange shape/form. Or foreign looking. It has nothing to do with the monsters in the movie.

On the other hand, the marines in Alien could be said to be proto types of the space marine. :)

Anytime someone confuses Anime with cartoons. They are different things, Anime is Japanese animation and cartoons are western drawings for kids. It annoys me when they try to continue to argue with me about what manga is.

And that is why the one drop rule is stupid, because, if it were applied, then everyone would be everything.

@ Jobz,
Wait. I thought vader did say it like that! WTF? I gotta go watch Episode VI again
Well if I'm wrong then I might have to go and watch them again 5 times each (not I, II or III, those arent even really star wars) because I am the biggest Star Wars geek this side of SoCal...
If you were the biggest Star Wars geek you would know the scene you are discussing is from Episode V not Episode VI

When I think of Space Marines I think of Aliens. That was my first exposure to the concept, so it will always be the one I associate it with.
