Geeks are good looking if they ARE good looking not becuase they are geeks. On the other hand if there were identical twins on was a geek and the other was more of a popular group i would like the geek more.

No but in all seriousness, It's got to be the glasses.
This brings to mind two girls I really liked. Both of them were book smart and academically excelled. Later on I learned that one of them watched Heroes and the other liked Starwars, Episode IV being her favor. (Episode IV!)
Needless to say I thought I had found goddesses living in plain sight.
Both of were pretty average look. So much so that my friends almost shit themselves when I brought the two up in our regular talk about the hot girls at our school discussions. Which really made me like them even more, but I've refrain from talking about them too much any more as the surprise and disapproval is rather surprising.

Maybe the glasses, a good pair of glasses can enhance the look of a person, due to hiding bags under eyes, and just making them look stylish.
I'm a geek myself, and I wouldn't consider myself "sexy", I'm fat, my skin looks horrible, I've got massive bags, my hair is weird...Generally, I'm an ugly mofo.
Maybe you like the personality of geeks more? Committing, enjoys whatever they want without shame, breaks the laws of "normal" in society.
ALSO, my GF is a bit of a geek, she's kinda awesome, since it's great with have common interests, also, she is a hell'a lot smarter then me, and I don't like to brag but she is one sexy girl. xD >.> Beautiful, I meant...Same thing.
