Duke Nukem. super muscular lesbian I guess? I mean, Duke has to get the babes, or would new FemDuke get all the men?
I imagine Duchess Nukem to just be a really womanly woman in the same sense that Duke is a really "manly" man: in a grotesque caricature sort of way so she would be very curvy, long legs and long hair, gushes over "cute" boys, vain (always checking hair & makeup), shrill, spends too much time on the phone, and is a terrible driver (the reckless type would make it fun).

I kind of imagine Mila Kunis' character from That 70s Show but with longer legs. That could actually make for a really good game.
While funny, I still say that she would probably be the stereotype of strong women as opposed to vapid women. However, a character complaining about her nails while shooting an alien would garner more outrage.
Sorry, that's kind of what I think they would be going for...more outrage for shock value and humor.
Besides, vapid women can be strong in many other ways. For example they can be very strong at shooting, stabbing, style, blowing stuff up and being bawdy; all qualities that are important to a game character needed for something like that.

Nothing to apologize for, you have a point. Perhaps I am more trying to spare myself of having to deal with a shrieking mall rat. Oh well, your point still stands and it could definitely work. XD

shadow of the colossus.

The story of a grieving lover fighting giant monsters and chipping away her humanity in an attempt to save her fallen lover. Touching with either gender really.

Megawoman could be cool

And a silent feminine link saving her prince would be cool switch up

I think the people here understand that we're talking about a grotesque caricature.
If the game ever actually got made, then it would catch a lot of flack. And a lot of juicy free marketing.
Feminists these days are much better at choosing their battles. I remember in the 80s when they wanted to rename that thing in the street a personhole cover. This game would only agitate those really militant ones that don't have the stomach to confront the true atrocities women around the world face.

I'd like to see Gearbox do something like this. It would be pretty funny.

That would be great. Especially if she's really called Quinn,
It sounds like if Ke$a made her own version of Thriller.
For Dutchess Nukem I'm kind of picturing a version of Samson & Delilah with the sex roles reversed: her hair gets stolen by her pig boyfriend and she has to go kill him while trying different wigs that give her powers but nothing as good as her real hair which she eventually gets back and destroys ex-boyfriend's hq.

That's almost cringeworthy... It'll make a mint with the ironic crowd and probably be fun to play.

You're right, it needs to ferment a little 'till it's fully 100% cringeworthy.
Definitely ironic, like No More Heroes but more interactive and fun.

Perhaps a talking compact that is tied to the level up system? Oh, and a lipstick gun.

male God of War = female Heavenly Sword
male Uncharted = female Lara Croft

Honestly, I don`t think character gender makes that big a difference. I played ME2 as both male and female, and outside of the romance stuff, I often found myself forgetting which one I was playing as.

I like this concept, and I think it would be really interesting to see the Condemned games with a female protagonist. A horror game where you play a woman sounds interesting for me for some reason. Probably because most horror movies that I've seen depict women as weak and needing someone to rescue them or something like that.

Gears of War.

Would like to see the results of that. Especially due to the over-masculine nature of the franchise. Now they can FEM it up, and push the series into an entirely new direction.

Maybe it'll become Tears of War, a game of sisterly devotion and support. When your teammate is down, you have to shakey-cam run to give them a hug, share a cry together, and then she is good to go.

See, most of you would think this is insulting, but remind yourself how stereotypically male Gears of War was and my point will make more sense.

Try Clock tower 3, Alone in the dark the new nightmare, Haunting Ground, Siren blood curse, All of the Fatal frames/Project zero games, Silent Hill 3/Silent Hill 2 directors cut, Eternal darkness, and Amnesia the dark descent: Justine.

Their are tons of horror games that let you play as a female.

That's good, she'll also need a "blowdryer" gun and PMS rage that works like invincibility/god mode.

I´m going to agree to all the people wanting a female protagonist in Assassins creed. It would make sense. Maybe it could get weird with Miles and stuff...

What is the action like in those games? I know in Condemned, you do a decent amount of ass kicking.

Okay folks, here is a thing. How many female rage games do we have out there? I know I can close my eyes and point to find a game with a dude that gets pushed, then pissed, then ass gets kicked. I'm curious to go through the pathos of a woman pushed and the resulting ass that gets kicked.
