Each year Steam has their big splash page of the best selling games; Civilization often ends up in the top tier; Paradox' strategy titles tend to end up in the top or secondary tier. I don't recall seeing the Total War series on that, though I might misremember.A bit surprised total war don't sell more.
If you're talking specifically about 3, it had performance issues at launch, DLC was less content for more money than 2, the immortal empires map didn't come out for a year or so after launch so you were stuck playing the shitty campaign that felt smaller and crapper than Total Warhammer 2. CA did some real shit customer service and poor business practice/community engagement. Plus it didn't really add that much people were excited about. 2 was kinda the peak. Sure 3 is arguably better, but it doesn't feel like you're getting much more for your money when you've got 1&2 already.A bit surprised total war don't sell more.
Several factors that I can think of:Some interesting sales number for sega game leaked:

And attracting enough attention and actually getting people to write to their officials. I was pessimistic about the campaign over a year ago, but I salute him.Sadly, it looks like Ross Scott is pretty much wrapping up the "Stop Killing Games" effort with nothing to show for it. And as usual, it's loud idiots shouting wrong things that was the biggest obstacle to success.
Watch Nintendo try to spin this by calling it a throwback to the original Game Boy's screen.
Amazing. Kida sucks for the switch users, but maybe the devs figures it wasn't worth porting over something that was gonna run like assgoddamn techland you realise you don't gotta go this far with post launch support right?
