I think people who assume their unpopular opinions are what make them unique got something else coming for them.

What? Too post-modern? Fine, how's this:

Mega Man Star Force is a good series and has FAR superior stories than MMBN and MM Classic! THAT'S RIGHT I SAID IT!

The Constitution is a worthless piece of paper that should be replaced whenever civilization goes beyond the previous one. Amendments shouldn't be necessary.
I always found it odd that the Amendments should be so important yet the provisions they replaced would be considered as important if they were still in place with our modern attitudes. Amending the amendments is an unthinkable notion in modern America.

- Valve is the probably the most over rated company in existence, and just about every one of their games are "meh decent" but not great in any way.

- Gamers for the most part hypocritical, immature, and causing a lot of damage to the industry

- Day one DLC is a good idea

-People obsess over meat and its honestly the dumbest thing to see... I like a good steak and such as much as the next person but dear god stop wetting your pants about how bacon is so great

-I think everyone should support every game company that they can. Yes even if your not in love with every game they produce. Instead of bitching about it in forums all day and actively trying to tear these companies down. Dear god people these people are just trying to make things you enjoy, what do you do, spit in their faces and call them assholes and then pirate their products

-Games are made to be played, kept, and honored for the amount of hard work, love, and sacrifice that goes into them. Not sold the next day to Gamepots

-All religions should be respected and you should have a general knowledge of at least some of their tenants

- Faith and science are not binary opposites

- I think EA is a great company

- Bethesda, Bioware, (any other studio), are working hard to produce great content, stories, gameplay. Gamers, again in general, will spend more time bitching about what ever they want this week/next week/ the week after instead of just playing games. (I chose Bethesda, and Bioware because it seems to be the popular thing to hate this month)

- You should support the content creators of this site, and treat them with the utmost respect.

- The forums of the escapist are full of vitriolic hatred, nasty attitudes, and in general an ineptitude to act in a decent dignified manner.

Men spent the better part of human existence making life horrible for women, and they have every right to tell us about it.
No, men who continue to make life horrible for women deserve to be told about it - those of us who treat women as equals do not deserve an arbitrary dose of vengeance for a past to which we did not and would not contribute.
I don't know if this is what the original commentor meant, but I agree that past mistakes should not be forgotten. It doesn't mean the people living today that happen to belong to the same sex/race/sexual orientation/religion should be held to accountable for it, but these things need to be remembered.

Especially since it's worrysome how often I see people attempting to rewrite history.
For example, people who claim the US should be governed the way it was originally formed arguing that women totally had equal rights. And that whole 'only men can vote' thing actually meant the whole family talked about it together and the men listened to their wives and since women had influence that way, it was totally okay for only men to vote.

(Or that some tribal/ancient religions were some kind of paradise for women)

Donating for cancer research is a waste of money
Why?
Since if this is about the misconception that medical science is not having any progress with treating cancer, you're wrong.
(But if you just don't think cancer-research is worth it, it's your opinion, you're entitled to it. Just wondering why you're especially mentioning cancer)

As for my unpopular opinions, that would depend a lot on the group you're measuring your opinions against. My opinions about how religion sucks, gays and women should have equal rights and that video-games are great are pretty unpopular in some circles I've been a part of, but I can't imagine it being the case here.

So I don't know...
Maybe this; 60's Batman-series; the greatest liveaction version of Batman.

And I think the next Batman-movies should be more colourful and campy. (they should also have character-development and a good plot, though)

GEOLOGY ISN'T A REAL SCIENCE.
Why? Also, what nationality are you? Since that's not an opinion I see here in Finland.
SO I wonder if this is because the teaching of geology sucked in the US at some point, or if the courses in it are really bad/easy over there still.

This just seems such a weird preconception some (American?)people seem to have.
I wonder where it comes from, or if the word 'science' is popularily used over there to just describe physics and chemistry.

I don't understand why everyone thinks zelda is so great. The story's suck, The game play isn't that good, and despite some interesting puzzles the space inbetween those is no fun at all. Before you judge me I have played. Ocarina, Majoras mask, Skyward sword, and twlight princess.

I don't think the zombie genre is overplayed. Because the games they are making are still fun. Especially with this new idea of building bases to protect yourself and having it open world ( a la dayz warz and fortnite) I also don't think dead island is a bad game, just misadvertised.

Seinfield is one of the least funny shows I have ever watched.

Will Ferrell is not funny.

Call of duty doesn't suck- The campaign is great. I prefer battlefields multiplayer though- For 5 on 5 I'd rather play counter strike

Emma watson is not attractive at all.For an opinion I believe to be at least on this website... Girly Girls are more attractive then tom boys. Curves are better then skinny girls

Half-life 2 isn't that great. Half-life 1 is good with the exception that the last level is a piece of shit.

GTA Vice city was the best gta game.

Solid Snake isn't as cool as naked snake

I hate anime.

I don't think racist jokes are bad things when they are simply just jokes. That being said I hate when Black people say " Nigga" all the time, acting like it isn't offensive because they are black so " Its ok if they say it."

Dr.who is a terrible show.

Demon souls is better then skyrim.

I like Gears of wars storys and don't find it to " Manish and brutelike" For the same reason I love 80's action movies like Rambo or predator.

Metal is terrible music so is dubstep.

I don't think mitt romney is a bad canidate and will most likely vote for him over obama.

Facebook and most social networking sites are stupid, and just a fad.

I don't think equal rights between men and woman have anything to do with being chivalrousness towards women

and to end- The 90s sucked.

1. Poor people shouldnt have children they cant afford then expect the state to pick up the slack.

2. Greed is good.

3. Third world aid is wrong, it stunts the growth and development of the recipient countries.

4. Anonymous is a bigger threat to personal freedom than the erosion of civil liberties.

5. 99% of Modern Art is pretentios rubbish.

6. I hate rap music (i know its not that uncommon but people always shout me down for saying it so im counting it)

Believe it or not...

I believe humans were once natural beings, now...not so much. We are a parasite unto this plane of existence and, unless we can collectively reverse our current trend of ignorance, self-destruction and hatred, we deserve to be wiped off the face of this reality, either through our own means or of those by nature.

And we still call ourselves "civilized".

Most of which described here are rather weak unpopular arguments.

Here's mine:

People who suicide due to bullying are weak

Hitler was a smart man, possibly not really Jewish hating, and just wanted to rule Germany
(Note, i don't condone what Nazi Germany did in WW2, just saying that Hitler only used Jews as a means to make German population vote for him)

All drugs should be legalized

Call of Duty series is a great one.

Regenerating health is a better system than a one with med-packs

Police isn't as abusive as everybody makes them out to be

Escapist forums are a pretentious circle-jerk sometimes.

All guns should be legal without any restrictions.

We should let all endangered species die out, and leave nature to do its course.

Modern art or Contemporary art,

And do you know the difference
Well there are varying definitions of both. Contemporary art is generally accepted as anything from the end of the second world war onwards whereas Modern art refers to artistic styles that emerged from the turn on the 20th century up until around the 1970s.

I used the term modern art for two reasons. Firstly modern art refers to art produced in modern artistic styles whereas contempory art can be used to refer to all art produced within the given period regardless of style. Secondly while its not to my taste i wouldnt pass judgement on anything art wise that has been produced in the last 20 years or so as in terms of art it hasnt been around long enough to get proper perspective. However i do hate the hype that surrounds certain contempory artists.

So does heroin.

Here's my take: religion is the most harmful thing that mankind has invented.

I wouldn't go so far as to say "great", but I agree that EA is far, far more hated than they deserve.

*mini-rant incoming*

And I completely agree with the other point I quoted. I mean, pointing at Mass Effect 3, a game generally considered to be quite good outside of the original ending, and using it as an example of how EA sucks?

I can pretty much guarantee that any game EA "ruined" can be countered with a game that EA saved. Dragon Age II was ruined by EA? Without EA, Brutal Legend wouldn't exist. EA was responsible for Mass Effect 3 (ignoring the fact that publishers have no say in game development, including story)? Without EA, System Shock 2 wouldn't exist.

Another question for EA haters. Why is it that when EA puts something in the EULA for Origin saying they will shut down your account if it is inactive for two years, you rant about how EA is the devil and is ruining gaming, but when Valve says that they can shut down your Steam account at any time, and for any reason, you just shrug and say that that's just the way it works?

*sigh*

On-topic, I don't dislike all pop music. Katy Perry and Lady Gaga do not end up in the pile of pop music I don't like.

I don't think you should be banned from complaining about the government just because you didn't vote for them.

I think the 22nd amendment is already outdated and should be overridden. A president's term should be limited by his (or her, in the future) capabilities of getting re-elected, not on some arbitrary number. Put another way, who's more likely to do a better job, a president looking at running for a third term, or a president who knows that in two years, it'll be someone else's problem?

Here's the thing. If you look at the presidents who have been in office since the 22nd amendment, only one of them would have likely been re-elected to a third term. Quick run-down:

Harry Truman-Was not affected by the 22nd amendment, but stepped down after two terms anyways.

Dwight Eisenhower-Left office with mediocre approval ratings and poor health.

John F. Kennedy-Assassinated in 1963.

Lyndon B. Johnson-Quite unpopular at the end of his presidency.

Richard Nixon-Resigned, despite an alleged lack of crookdom.

Gerald Ford-Failed to get re-elected for a second term.

Jimmy Carter-See Ford.

Ronald Reagan-Decently popular, but was 77 at the time, and in worsening health.

George HW Bush-Failed re-election.

Bill Clinton-Quite popular at the time he left office, and was in good health. Had a good chance of re-election if he could have run.

George Bush Jr.-Left office as one of the most hated presidents ever.

Barack Obama-He might not get a second term, never mind a third.

In conclusion, the amendment, in hindsight, only really affected Clinton.
