Turning her attention from the rats again, she looked at Skullivan.
"Did I already tell you my name? Ya, I think I did" she said giggling "Well then, are you going to help us kill rats or just look good?"
She turned back to the rat she had whipped and waited to see if it would die.
Damn things take too long to die!

 

[Xero Scythe]

Grana shook his head as he picked his way through the town. "Unholy numbers of enlisters, and they send me of all people to check this place out. There isn't anything here but rats!" He looked up to the sky. "Yeah, I know you heard me, damn voice!" He shook his head as he looked at the letter once again. Yup. The king of Glacia wanted him to check out this town for some reason. No avoiding it- not even he could overturn the king- though he could overthrow, if he wanted. Good for the king he didn't like running a country. Grana looked at a surge of rats coming towards him. "Please, I was kickin' your asses when I was 12. I've had a bit of experience since then, ya bastards." Grana opened up his personal combat menu.

WWJD- "What Would Jackrum Do?" Menu:
What do I want to do?

Jackrum smiled as he picked the last option. One final Menu pulled up.

Grana didn't need to pull up more. He chose one of his favorites, Split Second. He gripped the curved handle of his blade and quickly drew, activating the mechanisms on both sides of the sword. There was a faint hissing sound- often the last sound many hear. The AoE attack hit all the rats approaching as the flames roared out of the sword. Charcoaled rat flew all around Jackrum as he continued on his path. He saw a few adventurers, also dealing with rats. "Hey, who the hell are you guys?" He asked.

Misa turned towards the voice and sighed before running over to him.
"Excuse me, mr or mrs narrator...can you stop sending sexy men over my way? I'm almost out of pick up lines" she said before looking to Jackrum "You decimated those rats!"
Best one I could think of on short notice

 

[Anarchemitis]

Skullivan managed to fiddle his collar bone back out of his face, before cramming it back into where it was supposed to be on his chest, the woman still clinging to his arm. He slightly awkwardly extended a hand to shake.
"The Cornelius Skullivan. It looks like your group could use a Chronicler."

Misa had gone to back to Skullivan and grabbed his arm instead of Jakum's because Jakum didn't seem to intrested. She reached around him with her other arm and gave his hand a shake.
"The? That's a strange first name but whatever. I don't know what a chronicler is either...but we could use every one we can" she said giddily before seeing that the rat still hadn't decided if it was dead or not.

 

[One Seven One]

"Pleased to meet you Skullivan." Said freeze while extending his hand for Skullivan to shake.
"What brings you here?"
Freeze saw from the corner of his eye as Jackrum killed multiple rats with one attack.
Note to self: Don't screw with this guy...

 

[Xero Scythe]

Jackrum raised an eyebrow. "Don't worry about wasting any lines on me. Most of them haven't worked, and the rest of the women were almost funny in their attempts. By the way, you really need to put on more than say... 3 feet of fabric." Grana sheathed the sword in the small of his back before walking towards the group, kicking the charred remains of a rat out of his way. He nodded to the rest of the group in recognition. "What are you all doing here, anyways?The name's Jackrum, by the way."

 

[Lambi]

The whip hit Rat A's eye and angered it, making it attack Misa back and cause 9 HP of damage on her, leaving her with 247 HP. Freeze's ice shards killed Rat B, giving him 4 XP, now he needed 394 XP until level 2. Rat F caught fire from Skullivan and began running around, trying to put out the fire.

The number of rats that had attacked Jackrum was 30, and with each giving him 4 XP, he now only had 280 XP to gain until he'd reach level 2. Everyone starts at level 1 here, pal, even if you have spells and skills from before.

 

[Anarchemitis]

"Well if you must know, I was heading out to Ladner Fields. There's a Snigglegap Trap which you can solve to get a Peekaboo badge. It allows you to see enemy attacks before they occur, or so I heard. Otherwise I was just out for a walk. Through First Village is the fastest way, so I just equipped myself with a Fire Riposte to deal with any of those pesky rats. It occurred to me that-"
The rat, still on fire, had now crawled onto Skullivan's head, knocking his hat off. A small involuntary flash of fire knocked the rat back off again. He stooped to pick up his hat, placing it back on his head, eyes flashing at a steady rate from his annoyance.
"It occurred to me your group might need a Chronicler, or at least someone who has a map." he said finally, tapping the horned helmet slung around his waist.

 

[One Seven One]

Freeze laughed a little as the flaming rat was knocked off Skullivan's head.
"Well I wouldn't mind having you along Skullivan."

Freeze faced Jackrum as he walked up to the party.
"Hello Jackrum, we're mostly just killing rats."
"What brings you here?"

"I propose some time, either soon or later that we get rid of the Rat King wherever he is, because I liked First Town before it was this decrepit pigsty. But first, maybe we should deal with these present rats, which are becoming rather bothersome."

Skullivan threw his pan, hitting the rat with a pleasing "splang!".

Jackrum sighed. "King sent me here. Why, I'll never know." He looked at the rats and shook his head. "I doubt any of you are ambassadors or royalty, so there goes that option... Why the hell would I be sent here? A dead man doesn't need to visit a ghost town." He chuckled. "Though if this is a joke, there's gonna be hell to pay. " He stalked back and forth, occasionally kicking away a rat before getting annoyed and whipping out Hades.
He scrolled through the screens like lightning, barely looking at either one.

He shot the next rat, firing two shots at it just to show the little bastard who's boss. "Bastard things. Anyway, who's yer leader?"

Misa would have screamed in rage if she could. But since she couldn't from her magic training she instead decided to attack the Damn Rat that kept hitting her.

She winked at it and watched as it multiplied into two rats, hopefully the copy being her ally.
Let's hope that was the friend spell and not the enemy copy spell

"You are getting payed in experience. Isn't that good enough?" the narrator said to Xandus. "And it's First Village, Skullivan. First Town is far away."

The rat Xandus killed gave him another 4 XP, now he needed 372 XP to get to level 2. Rat D was killed by Freeze's ice shards and gave him 4 XP as well, he now needed 390 XP to get to level 2. Skullivan gained 4 XP as well when his pan killed Rat F, now needing 396 XP to get to level 2. Jackrum killed the rat, giving him 4 more XP, he now needed 276 XP until he'd reach level 2.

Misa's copy of Rat A turned red and both Rat A and the copy attacked her, dealing 19 damage in total, now leaving her with 228 HP.

She laughed as they bit through her flesh and her legs bled.
"Damn magic doesn't let me be anything but happy" she said before calming down and staring at the two copies.

Figuring if she kills the main rat, the copy will die. She aims at it and whips twice sending out her freezing bolt at it to stop it in place and deal a small amount of damage. Quickly scurrying behind Skullivan she shrieked.
"Kill the other one" she shrieked to anyone who would listen.

"I propose we look for the Rat King after this fight." Said Freeze to the group before surveying the surrounding area for where they could find the Rat King.
Where oh where would rats keep their king? He thought to himself while making a mental note of a few spots.

Misa shivered as the frost shield came around her.
"Can't you cast something like midly-warm shield? Although, you're amazingly good at this frost shield" she said sarcastically and then flirtatiously. She looked back towards the rat and cocked her head.
