JRPG's or anyting turn-based. I've just never been into JRPGs and taking turns interrupts the game for me.

Oh, and sports games. I'm not that into sports, but even if I was wouldn't It make more sense to just get the same group of friends you would play the game with and go outside and play it?

I don't like racing and sports games. Racing games are kinda all the same go fast make turns, and sports games I would prefer to play the sport even if I suck than play a video game version where I'll still suck.

Don't kill me please...but I actually kind of enjoyed final fantasy when I got into it. You gotta get pretty far but when you do it's not too bad. Not a console seller of course but I still enjoyed FFX. Fire emblem was great though. I can't get into general racing games (except burnout), sports games, or RTS games...

I hate sims. The game Sims and games like Flight Sims. I hate racing games as well unless they are like "MAD KRAZY AWESOMUZ" and totally unrealistic.

Sport and games like Guitar Hero. Why play the sport virtually when you do it in *gasp* REAL LIFE?!? You meet more people and get fit, what's not to like. Also, with music games, same thing. In the long run, doing an actual instrument will help you I think. I myself do guitar and clarinet (and hopefully saxophone soon as well YES). 'Sides, I play games to do things that I can't do in real life.
Well, I dislike sports games for the same reasons you listed. Music games are fun, it's hard to explain why though. I guess cuz it's fun keeping a beat and listening to a song you like....but not EVERYONE likes simplicity in games, so I doubt I'll sway your opinion. Do you by any chance like RTS's? You know, command and conquer games?
Well, I think that I may like them if I played one. However, I have basically never played an RTS, so I wouldn't know. Also, I am a supporter of simplicity in video games. It's just that I fail to see the point when it comes as to why you would want to play sport or music games.
It seems odd to me seeing a gamer who likes to play music but doesn't like music games, I like to play them because to me it's like going a step above just listening to music and actually being a part of the song without having to learn how to play the song playing it. Not that I don't like to play songs, but its just so friggin hard! I've been trying to play fur elise on the piano for weeks now and I still can't get through the whole thing without screwing up badly. That and I find rythm based games addictive. DDR (although I don't have the pads), Stepmania (although I only made like 2 songs and downloaded 1), and guitar hero although the only version of that I have is the PC version, which lags horribly.

Most fantasy RPGs and fantasy JRPGs especially. I just find them too bland and not very exciting.

The RPGs that I only played and enjoyed were Oblivion, Deus Ex, Pokemon and the excellently excellent Mother series.

What about action based JRPG's like the tales of series, or kingdom heaarts? I find myself frustrated during difficult moments in JRPG's not because they're too hard but because THATS NOT FUCKING HOW YOU FIGHT! You don't hit your enemy and then jump back and wait for them to hit you! You hit them again! and again and again until they fall the fuck down! Not only that, but if you don't have enough supplies to beat an enemy and you save right before the fight, YOUR STUCK. I NEVER passed the fight against the 3 aeons in FFX2 I barely had any pheoniix downs, i didnt have that alchemy skill people kept telling me to use, etc. So in other words, i'm a fan of hack 'n' slash combat. Except Dynasty warriors, that games just tedious.

Can't do sports games. Personally I like something with a skill base required. They are also quite repetitive and ultimately boring all they change each year is the names on the jerseys and the stats for the players. When I shop for games all I see on the used games shelves is a plethora of sports games.

Online FPS I play them a lot but I'm just not good enough to get really into them it sucks all my friends are better at Halo 3 than me so thats all they want to play but it just gets boring for me after about 2 games not to mention Halo 3's MP is responsible for two broken X-box controllers and angry shouts of "OH FUCK THIS!!!" after not being able to get a kill in 5 lives

Games where the single player is meant for two players, and when you're trying to play through it solo, it becomes really frustrating to deal with your AI partner. *Shakes fist at RE5*

I think I should change it from turn-based to games that don't allow you to fight like you would in real life. Like RE 5, you in real life you can move and shoot.

He, I suggest you get a friend. Me and my mate played it a bit yesterday, and as soon as you get through the sluggish controls and work with them rather than against them, the split-screen coop gets immensely fun!

This was exactly my problem in Chrono Trigger. The way your character would attack, then spend about ten seconds standing about doing FUCK ALL, waiting for some pointless little bar at the bottom of the screen to fill up before they could do anything else. I could understand it if you were using a crossbow, but the dude was using a freakin' sword!

Sports games are not actually games, they are simulations, which I do not like (includes flying games).

Fighting games, because it's just two people punching or kicking each other (and yes I know this is not true but I will have this stereotype until the day I die)

Horror games, because I don't need a special genre of game just to be scared.

Nintendo because I'm not about to buy a whole other console just to try a couple games (but I'm pretty sure a lot of these games are very good, I just don't want to expend any effort)

Yes, I did play RE5 through with a friend and it was a lot of fun. But sometimes, I just like to relax and play a single-player game by myself you know? That's what single-player's for. Not single-player that should be played with two people.
