FPS. Aside from the fact they're dull and peaked when I was nearly 3, all the modern ones are based around multiplayer modes populated by a huge number of people who should have been gassed at birth.

MMORPGs. Right-click to attack. wait for it to die, possibly use skills to speed it up. THIS IS NOT REAL-TIME! IT'S GLORIFIED TURN-BASED STRATEGY

I think they're a genre in themselves.

As for me: Flight Sims and realistic racing games.

Sports games- I have zero interest in sports in general, and sports games have a nasty habit of constantly rehashing themselves.

Sims- I just find sim games boring and not the funnest of games for me.

Whatever nonsense Heavy Rain and Indigo Prophecy are under, adventure?- These are not games, they are fucking movies with button presses to progress the plot.

....Grand Strategy games.

Most are either -waaaaay- too complicated. Or nothing happens forever. I'm sure once you learn, or they pick up in speed that they are fine but...No, most of the time it's just too much.

Anymore, MMOrpgs. There once was hope for MMOs, but with the popularity of wow, they have moved away from a story driven narrative based RPG format to a statistical micromanagement fest akin to playstyles adopted from modern shooters.

After playing roughly 50 different ones I have concluded Its not the games that are the problem, its the sort of players that MMOs have started to attract, that I am increasingly loosing faith that the MMORPG will get more personally enjoyable anytime soon if ever.

Sports games - If i want to play sports i will go to the park with some friends.

Life simulators - Pretty much the same reason.

Real Time Strategy - I'm not very good at them.

And after seeing the post above me, i'd also like to second the posters comment on heavy rain (or however many numbers we are down on people that think a "game" based entirely on QTEs is stupid).

Only without the options that turn-based strategy usually offers. Anything that involves me picking something for my character to do in battle displeases me (rather than just doing it myself.)

Also, fighting games and turn-based RPGs.

EDIT: Oh and these

Even though I play them....MMO's....way too many companies are making them instead of making those juicy single player phantasmo games. Which brings me to ask...who else is excited for SW:TOR? :D

Shooters used to be ok but now they're just a blurry copy and paste only meant to be played online, sounds riveting.

Racing games. Just...racing games. Might be cause I suck at them, but honest to god my brother once spent hours upon hours of his life doing a race on some game he's gotten recently with a ridiculous number of laps.

I just don't get how driving the exact same circuit multiple times is fun. Once you've gotten the shape of the track down it just becomes an exercise in resisting boredom.
