Pelosi gets so much hate for how effective she is. She's extremely good at making things happen and passing legislation, but the left hates her for not being further left and the right hates/fears her for how effective she is/being too far left.

I don't doubt she's effective, there's no way she would be in that position if she were not. What I question is whether people like Pelosi and McConnell govern for any reason than for the sake of governing. Essentially, the epitome of politicians who have long since become divorced from the country and the people, and are consumed with playing their own games of power. Such people are useful to the point of vital, but I'd rather they were the "fixers" - lieutenants of other people with a better sense of vision and purpose - than running the show themselves.

a) Your conception of corporations is not accurate.

Corporations have management hierarchies that answer to a board of directors appointed by shareholders; they do not "house power as close to the individual as possible" because each is its own private tyranny.

b) Outright socialism is not the only nor even the most effect solution to bloated corporations. It's not coincidence when trustbusting became a thing and from which party it came from.

Oh yeah, and Republicans are really all about trustbusting these days.

I can certainly see that for turtle mitch since not only is he extremely partisan obstructionist but he also seems to be using his position to enrich himself while not actually doing work. Pelosi though, why do you think that? She seems to be doing a delicate balancing act between the more left wing and the more centrist members of her party who have to worry about being electorally viable in areas with more right wingers. Its fine being as left leaning as the squad is but they are in extremely safe districts, they don't lose in elections, they can only lose in primaries.
