Most pop on the radio. It's always some stupid generic electronic sounding beat, and some stupid lyrics I.e. Bad Romance. It sounds like she's impersonating the Hamburgler in the beginning. Maybe if there was more variety in the way they sing about love or whatever, because pop music as a qualifier, must have romance as a topic. Just not high pitched whining like Hedley, or high pitched singing about jailbait in the Context of Baby. Or singing about how much of a ***** you are, like Kesha.
And for fuck's sake, stop playing the same Michael Buble song every fucking day, 5 times in an hour! I hate the fact that's the only song that's ever on in the morning.
Ok, I think I'm done.

My complaints?

Some chicks should just learn to shut their mouths, turn 18 and strip naked for money instead of trying to sing. I can't think of any good reason people have for listening to them.

Whats with all these kids trying to be all "sensitive" and emotional all the time? I get 2 radio stations at work and one plays the "top hits". I get earfuls of 20-something year old "men", strumming 3 chords on an acoustic guitar and whining into a microphone and people are calling it music?

Did IQ's drop so sharply over the past few decades the Progressive Rock died away due to intellectual levels too low to understand it? The Beatles and Who started the genre, then you had bands like Yes, ELO, Jethro Tull and Rush join in as well as Styx and Queen... then the 80's happened :(

I personally cannot stand The Beatles.Everything they do to me seems so bland and uninteresting and dont get me wrong i love pop it's just i dont understand the hype.I also rage when people say oh what talented musicians they are oh they're so great and yet nothing they to do seems complex or AMAZING to me.I also hate the modern era of pop and how most modern pop musicians wouldnt know what a sheet of music was if it hit them in the fucking face. Also if you dont listen to Richie Kotzen or Andy Timmons i hate you to.Seriously Talented guys who dont get enough recognition because you would prefer to listen to machines like Steve Vai and John Petrucci.

Edit:I would like to include what i define a true musician is.Someone who can pick up an instrument or someone who can sing and just using That instrument or just using there voice nothing else invoke some sort of emotion from you.I dont care how good of a performer Madonna is if she cannot pull of the same thing Frank Sinatra could by himself just sitting there singing then she isnt a true musician just a performer.

Nickelback.

That is a-SWEET GIBBLING GIBBLETS!

That was close one.

OK, I guess I hate Nickelback because....

1. All their songs sound the same.

2. The main singer's voice is like sandpaper condom raping my ear. That's just my opinion.

3.This song:

I fucking despise pop music nowadays, it's shit. Worst part? Overplayed shit.
I can't find one god damn station anymore not playing shit by Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, or some other shit pop artist.
Fuck. Also that one song by Lady Gaga, Bad Romance? I fucking hate that.
What digs into my ears is when she says "Love"
But pronounces really loudly and obnoxiously like
"LAV LAV LAV"
It digs into my fucking head.

Yes definitely. People liking only one song and saying they like the band describes my younger sister perfectly. She keeps saying she loves in my favourite bands. Can she name more than one song, no. Does she recognise more than one song, almost always, no. Best example is Dillinger Escape Plan. She saw I had a poster of them, went out and bought the magazine that had the same poster, and goes on about how she loves them. She hasn't actually EVER listened to them, and to this day still hasn't...
So lend her the CDs?

She's probably just trying to be your friend and unsure how.

Something else I hate: Dance of the Knights from Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet. It really does sound like testosterone-addled thugs leaping around a room and violently abusing innocent, defenceless stringed instruments.

Also this: some famous rapper once said he respects Eminem as an artist "because he lives the rap lifestyle." If George Clooney said he respected someone as an actor because "he lives the film-star lifestyle" would you think that the guy in question must be great or that George had lost his frickin' mind?

99% of the music in every genre is shit. You just have to find the good stuff.

I cannot fathom why people get so worked up in their hatred of innocent pop music. If you don't like it, fine, go ahead and listen to what you like.

Talent should have nothing to do with how much you enjoy a band. While it can be impressive, a lack of talent should never be an argument against a band.

Disco is great. So is krautrock, detroit techno, free jazz, and black metal. Don't be tied down by a certain genre.

Why is too pretentious or too artsy ever used as an insult?

Expand your horizons. Sites such as last.fm and rateyourmusic can really help open your mind to new music.

The Beatles are boring. I'm convinced most people like them because they are expected to.
