Do you think Marriage might enable kids? I wonder what this would bring to the table, though i think marriage is about as far as Bethesda will take it. Todd Howard also said in the same interview that the player can continue to live beyond the last main quest so there must be something to develop the character further after this...

And if it does allow you to have kids, i wonder if you can be an Argonian, and marry a Khajhit...

Alternatively we could accidentally kite a dragon into the town.

It's not something I'm excited for, but I guess we can only wait and see what it will be like. I don't think it will be done well though. I just have this feeling...

I think that is a waste. The devs could be spending time doing something that more then 5% of players will use.

I dont approve of the whole marriage thing in ANY game. Just seems not serious at all. I dont play a game to "marry" someone... I use real life for this.

I seriously doubt the marriage mechanic will work like it does in Fable. This is Bethesda we're talking about. I'm willing to bet the Radiant Story system and series of quests unique to like particular types of NPCs will act as courting, and finishing the line will end with you getting married. That really doesn't sound like that stupid of an idea. That being said, I probably won't do it until I've beaten the game and done all the faction quests...like 6 times.

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, will ever lower my level of excitement for this game. Being able to interact with characters in the world to the degree of being able to get married is great in games! Interactivity and depth seem to be missing from so many games.

My goal is to marry someone, have 100 speech, convince them we live in the closest dragon den, use them as bait, repeat.

Key difference between Fable and TES; Fable has three characters other than the player, none of whom you're allowed to marry, TES has hundreds of characters all of which have quests and extra activities attached to them.

Anything to add depth to the empty, boring shells that were Oblivion's NPC's.
I second this. Hopefully they will have more than 3 voice actors this time around too.

Although that said, the beggars were great for a chuckle.

That is unless, your spouse can be a useful distraction for town guards, dragons, and anyone stupid enough to carry cash on them when i'm in Cyrodiil.
You would get married just to use them as dragon fodder?
I would too, I refuse to be roasted, I'm too pretty for that.

I am going to marry a sexy Dunmer man and have beautiful Dunmer children with him. It's a dream come true.

Though, I wonder what they'll do about same-sex marriages. On one hand, I don't think they should leave out the option, on the other hand, I'm not sure if I see it being legal in Tamriel. Though the Empire has fallen, I'm still not sure. Anyone know about homosexuality in old Nordic cultures?

I wonder if one will be able to have children if there can be marriage then. Then my Crazed Drunken Nord mass murderer can settle down and enjoy the good life in retirement with a family.
