This thread is very sexist, why are we asking different questions of the guys than the girls? How come girls get "looked at" here and guys don't?
if it helps im a girl. So i want to know what fellow girls think about the way they dress, and guys' impressions about what we wear. Just see if they match or not. Im not looking for tips... Im just curious, about what fellow girls think about what they wear and what impression they think their giving, see if others think the same thing. Also feel free, girls and guys, to switch the questions.
Alrighty then, I can work with that.

What girls wear to impress me, don't know and don't care. If they know anything about me they'd probably show a bit of cleavage or something, but then most girls I consort with on a regular basis do that anyway just because they want to, whether they give a shit about what I like or not. As for what I wear to impress girls... well, I don't really think about it, I just try to look neat and shave my stubble a bit.

What I like to see girls in, well it depends on the girl. My current girlfriend is all about the goth fashion and it works really well for her especially on photo shoots (she's got a bit of a Sleepy Hollow-era Christina Ricci look happening), but that look isn't for everyone. Other girls look better in really nerdy stuff like sweaters and cardigans. And glasses, fuck yes. In my dictatorship (coming soon, kids) all girls will wear glasses by law at all times, even if there's no lenses in them.
i actually have a friend who does that and it's funny that it suits her so much
op: i tend to like the girls who dwell a little in the goth style.

This is me getting up in the morning (Girl here btw) Okay, Jeans? Check. Bra and underwear? Check. Shirt? Check. Are they mostly clean? Yes? Good, now I can leave the house. If I want.

Honestly, my message here is, I don't really care what message my clothes are sending, I just wear the first things I grab..... I don't 'Dress to Impress' *gag* unless I HAVE to to go somewhere.

Guy here, don't really care provided the clothing isn't soiled or anything. If the girl is wearing an elaborate dress, then she is trying to hard.

Keep it simple like me XD

Honestly, something casual with little to no makeup, no hair dye, no piercings.

Ya'll are hateful :D

Most women I know dress up for occasions for the explicit purpose of being complimented. If they took all that time to look good, may as well let em know, and try to keep the low class references to a minimum. Couple of girls from work showed up at my new year's party in dresses.

"You two look gorgeous. You sure you're in the right place?"

Hell, sometimes I'll go to a party in aforementioned $300 suit...I'd be kind of pissed if someone got on a wild tangent about people dressing 'too nicely' after seeing it. Maybe I'm just behind times.
