hmm, well I think the color scheme is definitely important. I like when the top and bottom match or complement each other well. Like, the other day my girl wore this leather jacket with maroon pants and these sick leather boots. It was pretty stylin.

To be honest it'd be much easier to say what clothes girls wear that I don't like, and usually it depends on the occasion anyway.

I don't tend to like pastel colours, sports wear (unless they are actually doing sports/exercise), stupidly high heels (as in, they can't walk properly), loads of make-up (if this counts) and excessive amounts or large jewellery.

Apart from those I am not particularly bothered, although naturally I like some more than others, just not enough for it to bother me in any real way.

As for what girls wear to impress people, half the things on my above dislikes: Heavy make-up, lot's of jewellery and stupidly high heels.

I wear whatever's comfortable, which usually ammounts to a t-shirt (preferrably black and with some nice print - the one I'm wearing at the moment has What part of "go fuck yourself" don't you understand? printed on it) and a pair of pants. I also keep my hair up at, more or less, all times (because I'll end up sitting on it or whatever if I don't keep it tied up), and I don't wear any make-up, because my skin is apparently quite sensitive and make-up does not help.

I never saw the reason to dress up in things I'm uncomfortable in just to "look good". You'll never catch me wearing high heels or a skirt to impress guys or whatever. I'd rather have people be interested in me because of my personality.

Oh, and I wear glasses, too, but that's mainly because I can't see without them.

Jeans are fine at all, but I much prefer the more feminine look of dresses, skirts, and leggings on girls. I just find it much more attractive.

On the other hand, I don't try at all. I rarely shave, just trim, and I'm usually in a T-shirt, maybe a sweatshirt, and either cargo or gym shorts.

I like a girl who dresses in an aesthetically pleasing manner. Something that shows her off as stable and secure, or likes revealing her artistic, more sensitive, side. I don't like girls who dress to show off, or use their sexuality to attract (in the sense of being revealing).

I am extremely jealous. I've been growing my hair for two years straight and it's only a few inches past my shoulders.

I think girls look good in just about anything. Even sweatpants (It accentuates their hips...what? Don't judge me).

To start, I am a bit of a prude.

Anyway, body and clothes take a distant back seat to intelligence and personality.

A t-shirt, jeans or a regular length skirt says more positive things about a woman than revealing low cut/low rise "show off" clothes any day of the week.

Example time!! :)
I had a co-worker who would wear a leather corset and mini skirt as street clothes... and she was literally the most air headed, moronic, vapid waste of air to ever exist. Were talking middle school dropout here people, and she was in her early 20's. Boobs and clothes mean nothing when a you'd have a more engaging conversation with a grade schooler.

There is nothing wrong with a girl showing off her body a little, but too much and people will think you're a complete moron and are overcompensating for something. Too often this is proven to be true around where I live.

Honestly I don't really mind what girls wear, I've never thought that anyone I actually had any feelings for was made more or less attractive because of what they are wearing.
as for me, I'm pretty lazy day to day, I'm on campus 9 till at least 5 every weekday and have some kind of sport everyday, so I pretty much live in a collection of sports hoodies, lounge wear trousers and other club stash.
If I'm going on a night out or a date I'll usually plump for an open shirt over a slim t-shirt, paired with some slim (but not skinny) dark jeans and suede shoes.

I'm pretty meticulous about my hair tho, If i don't put any clay in it it tends to go very pudding bowley so I always have a spare tub in my sports bag, and my Ck one, gotta love the aftershave

Well, it certainly takes time to get it that long. I've been letting mine grow for some 14 years by now.

I have no patience. My hair used to be fairly long but one day I just cut it all off into a kind of pixie haircut. I'm so envious of girls with long hair now.

I like something interesting. I can't stand guys who just wear jeans and a t-shirt. So fucking boooorriiiinggg. And I hate when you're at a party and every single guy is wearing a goddamn Topshop shirt and ill-fitting jeans.

And I like girls that look like they're not trying too hard. For some reason, I really like it when a girl is wearing a fancy looking dress and boots. It just looks so fucking cool. Don't be orange and make sure your make up enhances your natural looks instead of covering them up.

Me personally?

I like to see girls wear something they actually and truthfully feel comfortable wearing, but doesn't look slutty.

Jeans and T-shirts, scarfs, gloves, pajamas, as long as the girl looks like she's emotionally comfortable and happy wearing them :)

For me, its less of a what I want to see a girl wear as much as a what I DON'T want to see girls wearing.

I personally don't want to see girls wearing something that seems slutty on purpose to try and catch people's eyes. Impress them if you would. You can usually tell that these kind of people wear these kind of clothes for attention too. There's a HUGE difference between the girl who wears almost skimpy kind of outfits, but doesn't even think about it, and the ones who on purpously strut them around like they're trying to catch people's attention.

Course, I pay more attention to hair, and facial expressions rather than what they are wearing when I meet them ;)

And the shoes. I like to jokingly ask when I see people (mostly guys) wearing running shoes out and about what they expect to have to run from while out. Possibly an American thing.

Baggy jeans and ill fitting (universally too big on men) clothing are clothing pet peeves of mine, so I try my best to find things that fit me pretty well as a first priority. When I'm trying to impress I start with a collared shirt and dark wash jeans. I wouldn't do a tie unless it was an event or I felt like it.

Really though, any man (or woman) over 18 who doesn't own a pair of well cut, dark wash jeans is still in the denim 90's. On days where I just have school, I mostly wear T-shirts and jeans, no reason to get all fussed up over school. Sometimes I'll throw on a collared shirt for school for a change of pace, or in winter as part of layering a sweater.

I used to have a block when i was younger about wearing anything "girly", i was pretty much a boy, i wore my (older) brother's clothes and sported a bowl cut. Ive experimented over the years and i really like dresses. Yes they can look like youve put a lot of effort into it but really its just foomph, over your head and youre done dressing, really the perfect lazy way to trick people into thinking you actually thought about what youre wearing. And heels have grown on me, because they look badass and even my most unforgiving looking shoes are actually really comfortable. Also i tend to try and change up the way i look a lot because at work, i look the same. Pants and a horrible purple polo shirt and good walking shoes. I try and change up what kind of pants and flat-footed shoes (but not "flats"...i hate those...) but at the end of the day im still wearing pants and one of 3 pairs of work shoes (yes that sounds like an excessive amount of work shoes but i cant stand looking the same everyday).

You can't really staple "standard clothing" onto every woman, everyone will look better in something different.

Well, most of the time, but the point still stands.
feel free to qualify exactly what looks like what on exactly what type of person they are.
I think he's saying something along the lines of some people look good in hotpants, some don't.

If he's not saying that then I have no idea what he's saying.
I hoped thats what he was saying :) and i wasnt being sarcastic about the "feel free" i was trying to get him to elaborate if he wanted to because i think that's a problem most people have. They dont understand what looks good on some people wont look good on them, so you get a lot of muffin tops and the like.

I don't genereally have a lot of opinions about women's clothing, but I've learnt to pick out a few things that have certain impressions on me. Example:

wearing a skirt that could easily substitute as a belt, to my eyes, means your just desperately trying to attract anything with a penis and a pulse.

I'm not even sure what a hipster is but rest assured that I've never met anybody, ever, who wears glasses when they don't have to. Unfortunately.
Hipsters:
And more hipsters. Complete with glasses with the lenses popped out.

oh god...i have some of the most elitist hipsters ever that went to my high school (now college). it used to be so fucking annoying but i dont care too much anymore.

ot:

well im just myself, but if im trying to really look sweet for a girl i toss on my kacki shorts with a polo and freshin up with a nice smooth shave and my good cologne.

what i like girls to wear? well glasses can be pretty sexy on most girls, but no style has a particular draw to me, as long as she pulls it off thats gonna turn me the hell on (and this is true to the point, i have dated so many different "cliches" of girls its ridiculous, my last girlfriend was a hick waitress who liked half life.) but if i was to point out something particularly sexy that i tend to find on most girls, well i do like nice tight shirts, dont necessarily have to be showing boobs at all, just a decent v cut shirt perhaps, along with short kacki shorts or a kacki skirt, idk what it is but man it can make any girl look good in my eyes.
