Haven't finished it, but enjoyed it somewhat: The Last Remnant (by Square Enix)

Baldur's Gate series.

Number II - Shadows of Amn is the best one and my favourite RPG ever by far.

If you've never played the Baldur's Gate series you are missing out BIGTIME.
I tried it, and i really don't know what it was, i just couldn't get into it.

Dragon Age: Origins, The World Ends With You, Persona 3/4, Chrono Cross/Trigger, Star Ocean 3/4, any Pokemon game (newer the better, imo), Final Fantasy IV (pretty much the only universally like one), Borderlands.

I could go on for days. What systems do you own?
Xbox, and this computer which can only run older games. I.E. Morrowind is pushing it

I'm gonna comb over this thread and look into anything i haven't played before, i'm sure i'll find SOMETHING!

Thanks everyone!

Well, then, you have access to 2 from my list.

Borderlands. The perfect hybrid of Diablo RPGs and FPS.

And Star Ocean 4. A JRPG with fantastic real-time combat, a good story...and terribly clichéd party member. But the combat is soooooooooo fucking good.

I love my RPG's man, Borderlands was awesome.

I'm assuming you mean Xbox 360.

Tales of Vesperia

This is what Final Fantasy would be today if it had stayed good. So goddamn good.

I'm gonna throw out Betrayal at Krondor and Arcanum. They're both wonderful, if only slightly flawed rpg's. And, I guarantee they're both old enough to run on your computer. They can be found on GoG.com for only a few bucks.

Dragon Age: Origins (of course)

Mass Effect 1 & 2 (though you can't really explore the world/galaxy openly like Fallout or Elder Scrolls, but it's a rich story nonetheless and will take up a lot of time lol)

Fallout: New Vegas (if you really like the world of Fallout 3 - it usually takes some time to look into all the nooks and crannies.)

I guess The Witcher (even though I wasn't a big fan of it)

and that's all I can think of at the top of my head. Since everything else I was thinking of, has already been stated.

Any of the Final Fantasy games can be a decent choice. I'm currently working through FFIV on my PSP.

Lost Odyssey.

It's a damn good JRPG. One of the better stories in videogames. Play it with the Japanese dialog with subtitles tho, the English voice acting is horrible.
I thought the voice acting was good in English; I found the Japanese one kind of boring, although any game's English dub has to be better than Eternal Sonata's.
I agree with Sober Thal - play this JRPG it's awesome! I mean, Nobuo Uematsu does the soundtrack and I think the original creator of Final Fantasy was behind the concept, so it has a good pedigree. Blue Dragon is another JRPG from the same company that looks completely different. It's a good game and you'll get your money out of it if you don't mind it being a bit kiddyfied. Personally, I'd recommend that game in Japanese as the English dub can border on grating.

If you're blessed with a PC that can run old games, do try Planescape: Torment and the first two parts of Fallout.

Also Deus Ex, if you don't mind that a lot of the gameplay will be either stealth or shooting.
