Go play outside!

I'm a gamer but I'm also a sports nut. I like to play golf, basketball, flag football and such so going outside has never been a problem for me. Honestly, I think someone used the phrase "stir crazy" earlier and that's exactly how I feel if I'm in one place for too long. Unfortunately as I've gotten older and my friends have either gotten married or moved away, I don't have as many people to do things with as I used to.

I still try to keep myself in touch with the outside world. As an aspiring writer/filmmaker I always enjoy taking in information about my surroundings.

Plus, I can play my games at night when it's too dark to see outside. There's time for everything.

Outside? Aren't... Aren't there bears outside?! D:

OT: Nah, I come from a family of homebodies, so they don't blame me for not wanting to leave my room. They're guilty of doing the same. XD

It gets much better right now when it's cold out. They do it a lot, but they hardly ever kick me off or kick me out; they're guilty of lazing around too.

I don't play outside, but I do exercise out there. I jog and stuff lol

I live by the woods, so sometimes I just go into the forest with a friend, sit on a log and talk about shit, dunno if that counts as playing.

Why the hell would I want to go outside into the cold just to get annoyed by chavs when I can have much more fun playing video games with friends online?
Have you found your handheld to be a chav magnet? Or do you just happen to live in an area with a high chav density?
High chav density, there are many of them. Not real chavs I suppose but people who are trying to be them. They are really damn annoying.

It's currently -20 degrees celsius and a minor blizzard is going on. Anyone who tells me to go play outside can go fuck themselves.

As for people telling me to "play outside" (they don't phrase it that way anymore since I'm 27), I usually respond them by inviting them to come climbing with me to a small mountain north of our town. They tend to start finding excuses and change the subject. Lazy bastards.

But....but there are factors out of my control when I go outside! I can't delete bugs with a few button presses when I'm outside!

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE WHO ENJOY ACTUAL BUGS???

Why wander out into the diseased ruin that is my town and risk catching The Chav when i have all my entertainment requirements in my bedroom?

"But Secret World Leader!" you cry, "surely as a 15-year-old boy you need to go out and relentlessly pursue every oppurtunity to mate whenever possible?" to which i reply: "lolno".

Sometimes my brothers will get on my case, but they forget that I work(mostly lifting things) and exercise at night when they are either getting high or asleep.

I get out of it by ignoring them 'cause they do outdoorsy stuff about as much as I do.

What is this "outside" of which ye speak?
A dreadful and detestable place, full of eldritch horrors. Few of us have gone there, even fewer have survived its nightmares, according to the old legends.

They (my parents) occasionly say I should spend less time on the Internet/gaming, but they don't tell me to go outside, which I understand as I live in a village with a population of about 800, most of my friends don't live there (they do live in the general area, but that's beside the point) and there's not much to do.

They do, but then i do go outside and just use a friends phone/laptop while we're out anywys. Of course we're also active so it works out.

Never, but when you live on campus with about 100 other students, spending hours in front of your computer drops surprisingly low on the priority list. Still winter, though, so actually spending time outside is a terrible idea unless we fancy a few days in bed.

They kinda stopped when I reached the age of 14 since there were only 5 other kids my age in the neighborhood and I had legit reasons for why I wasn't about to go outside and play with them. Once I got my car I started going out more often and they just stopped asking. Now I'm at college and doing stuff.

...But there are terrorists out there! I mean, 9/11 happened outside, not in my house.(Cookie guessing the reference)

OT: They used too, but I would just walk around the house and sneak back inside.

-10C-ish. No freakin' way. In the summer, yeah. In fact, they start to wonder why I'm out so late, but not in this most brutal of winters. So no, they don't really tell me to go outside.
