Erhem...

IF it turned out that God is real beyond any reasonable doubt, and you could ask him one question, what would it be?

Sorry for the misleading title, :p.

I would just ask him what the most fulfilling way to go through life is. I mean, if there's no hell, then maybe revenge and retribution are the best ways to handle your problems (although, to be honest, the Christian bible seems to advocate that any time it can.)

Also, I didn't put this in Religion because it seems a bit less serious than the other threads there.

EDIT: Also, for the record, I'm an atheist. (But that doesn't mean I have no morals, I still follow the majority of the catholic standards in that department.)

"...Wanna play some pool?"

"Okay."

"No cheating."

"Me dammit."

What, I don't really have any metaphysical questions as of right now.

God, DO you love horrible singing? Cause it really seems that you give those who want to sing your praises the most loud, obnoxious and horrific voices.

OR

Lady Gaga.... Seriously? Was it a dare or what?

Not necessarily Jehovah... It could be any supernatural, omnipotent being whom we have or have not heard of.

This, combined with the title, create something truly offensive. "What would you ask God?" is unoffensive "GOD IS REAL" + "If it turned out" is not.

Be happy, don't make enemies. You don't need to ask the divine for something like that. Although this seems like an attempt to once again insult Christians, not to ask any meaningful question.

Look man, im not going to stick around asking questions if I happen to stumble across Cthulhu, I think I'd just try to run as fast as I can and hope that Cthulhu consider me to be insignificant enough and not try to eat me or whatever it is he does with his human victims.

That is if I haven't been drive insane simply by laying my eyes upon his alien form and can't run due to hysteria or something like that. :p

"If you're so omnipotent and benevolent then why is the world the way it is with bad people committing acts of violence, some of which claim they are doing it for you, and why haven't you punished these people but let the good people get raped and murdered?"

I'd ask if I took all the crap I ever crapped in my life, how long of a wall would it make?

Actually, in all seriousness I'd ask if all that stuff in the bible is true and if so, if he is bipolar, two parter and all.

Don't read so much into it guy...

Also, you misquoted me... I didn't say, "If it turned out"; (EDIT: Whoops, I'm an idiot... I guess I did say that. Sorry I just woke up from a nap.) However, I made sure to specify that its a possibility, but that I was asking what you would do if it was proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Of course, then there would be no reason for faith, and that would defeat the point.

So yeah, try not to be so quick to victimize your religion...

You can't be happy all the time. Happiness is a temporary chemical imbalance in the brain, just like a depression is. If you're happy all the time then you can't really value it since you don't know any other state of mind. Thus ultimately making it the most fulfilling to be happy SOME of the time, but sad at other times.

Also, what's so unfulfilling about making enemies? A good enemy makes you strive towards getting better and reaching new potential in order to beat him/her in any way possible, rather than just sitting on your lazy ass all day long and being "happy".

If given the choice I could easily tell which form of existence would be the most fulfilling. So gimme more enemies please. I prefer to be outnumbered, even though im never outgunned. >:)

i would ask just how much he actually cares about humanity or earth, and hopefully get a response somewhere around, "what is this 'humanity' thing?", thereby proving my point that if god was real, we would be to him as microscopic spore colonies are to us.

translation: prove how im right about something, of course.

Hahahaha okay... point taken.

I don't know if Cthulhu is "the creator" in Lovecraftian lore, so lets just say that the God we're talking to is willing to answer your question without you coming to any harm.

"Could you microwave a burrito so hot that you yourself would be unable to eat it?"
or, if contrary to all biblical evidence he isn't a blood crazed psychopath who is neither omniscient or omnipotent: "so really, what is up with Bell's Inequality?" or "Uhm, could you prove the Riemann Hypothesis for me?"
