I just picked my copy up today and I must say, it's incredible. God of War II was a vast improvement over the first quality wise, polishing up the movelists and impressive boss battles. I figured 3 would be that kickass gameplay with some polished graphics and the continuation of the story. What I got was one of the most insane experiences I've played in a LONG time.

Visually, it's stunning. What I thought was a cinematic turned out to actually be gameplay graphics, and the monster and boss design is very vibrant with that barbaric touch so iconic in GoW. The combat and magic system has been touched up yet again, and while remaining challenging, the way attacks can flow makes it that much more fun to rip enemies apart.

The boss battles are even more over-the-top than ever, combining challenging attacks with the impressive finishers the series is known for. It seriously elevates rage and brutality to an art form. Kratos also has much more character interaction and expression than ever before.

Overall, a very solid, well-rounded piece. That $44M was well spent, and I suggest you grab a copy and tear face ASAP.

Bout the same difficulty level so far, but I'm not super far into it. The bosses are more challenging, but the normal monsters are a tad weaker it seems.

About 4 hours in and it has been excellent so far, i have been experiencing the double jump not working sometimes when jumping over crevices, has anyone else noticed this?

I just picked mine up today after work. I've never played any of the other God of War games so this is my first experience. I'm playing on Normal and so far it's pretty easy. I've beaten the first boss and ... well, it was the most brutal scene I have ever witnessed in my Video Game 'career'. I am now thinking of getting the remastered version of the first 2.

Somewhat yeah, I think maybe the timing needed to hit the double jump is just a little too precise to hit everytime. Usually the checkpoints aren't far from where you fall at all so I haven't really seen it as a problem.

OT: God of War III is phenomenal, anyone with a PS3 should at least rent this and try it out.

Yep. Can't really say it any better, it's insanely good so far, I see this selling a lot of PS3s.

I find that the boss battles are fantastically well designed, each with their own personality and the battles are creative.

It's crazy how much time they've spent creating the game, the fluidity of the controls and everything, though I gotta say, the camera is still horrible...not showing the right angle that you want, ect.

Talking about God of War is pretty much having me gently fondle it like Aphrodite's mistresses fondle each other, roughly and having the eroticism of lesbianism without the homosexual reference since it's 2 men and ect.

I find that the game makes me feel angry and fueled with testosterone,
the Cronos fight left me drained and feeling like I could beat an angry whale while I laughed at what I had just done
and it's just satisfying, and with the power of the PS3 fueling the powerful disc, it's just crazy fantastic

The strange thing is, if you said that to his face he'd rip your guts out and make you feel miserable. Or maybe tear you in half. 50/50

...How are there going to be spoilers in God of War III? Basically all you do in that game is just going around slicing monsters up(though from what I've seen it does it very well).

Well if your head is useful he might just rip that off while you're alive.
