Baldur's gate 2
Planescape: Torment
Psychonauts
Beyond Good and Evil
Fallout
All of those are somewhere between great and amazing, but one stands above the rest:
Planescape torment. This game has one of the best stories of any game ever created. I would prioritize this game.
Apart from that, here is the order which I would priorities them:
Fallout
Beyond good & evil
Baldur's gate 2
Psychonauts
Other games to consider:
Ultima 7 (and 4-6 if you can stands the graphics)
Ultima Underworld 1-2 (some of the best dungeon crawlers ever made. They were way ahead of their time in every way when they were released!)
Lands of lore
Wing Commander
Age of wonders (1 is the best in the series)
Fallout 2
Arcanum (for its amazing setting)
Divine Divinity (overlooked gem)
Broken sword
Crusader No Remorse (and if you like it, No regret, which is quite similar to no remorse but has some more weapons and stuff)
Dungeon Keeper
Fantasy wars
Freespace 1-2
Gabriel Knight 1-3
Jagged Alliance 1-2 (some of the best turnbased tactics games ever!)
Sacrifice (very interesting mix between strategy, tactics and action. Challenging but very fun)
Outcast (one of the finest action/adventure games of all time)
Might & Magic 1-6 (bundle, lots of games for your money. Start with 3)
Arx Fatalis (Similar to ultima underworld)
Syberia 1-2 (Wonderful and beautiful, some of the best adventure games ever created)
Real Myst (see what the phenomena was all about, minus the clunky controls)
