I just noticed that around my 225 post I changed my nomination thingy to muckracker, and I was just wondering what do these thing mean and how many are there.
How do you get a custom thingy? And how many characters do I need to fulfill the "long enough post" rule?Je Suis Ubermonkey said:They're a basic reflection of how much you've contributed to the forums.
I don't know how many there are, but they really don't matter. The big names around here often have pub-club custom titles anyway, and quantity of posts has no correlation with quality (except that trolls are hard-pressed to reach four digits without a permanent ban.)
If you count all the custom ones (like mine) then there's an infinite number. If not, I don't know the exact number but I know that the final one is Wordsmith Extraordinaire (10000+ posts?)Gustavo S. Buschle said:I was just wondering what do these thing mean and how many are there.
An absolute minimum of six to ten words should do you fine. It may sound stupid, but I was given a warning for a whole line of words and an image in post. Typically that shouldn't happen, but a couple of sentences should keep you safe.Gustavo S. It usually doesn't matter as long as it isn't super offensive, or really stupid.Gustavo S. Buschle said:Thanks people, but I still want to know how many character do I need to have in order not to get a warning.
No real character or word count, just make sure you contribute something to the discussion and can be sensibly replied to. *shrug*Gustavo S. Buschle said:Thanks people, but I still want to know how many character do I need to have in order not to get a warning.
As long as it's relvant and is more than a short sentence, you should be alright. And if you quote to agree to something, don't do "*Quote* This."Gustavo S. Buschle said:Thanks people, but I still want to know how many character do I need to have in order not to get a warning.

I've seen a few people (though I can't give you any names but by the time most people reach that post count, they join the PubClub and grab a custom tag instead.Von Strimmer said:My bad thanks mate. Christ that sounds like serious work to get 14999+ Has anyone got that far yet?
