Good animes with bad endings

Have you ever found an anime that you love, only to get to the end and be disappointed with a bad ending? (cliffhangers, didn't resolve anything, abrupt ending)

I have had this happen to me several times, and I wanted to what anime ending you have been displeased with.

I am also betting money that both Naruto and Bleach will have horrible endings.

I'd say Death Note.
While the actual ending wasn't too bad, most of the 2nd half of the show slowly but surely degraded in quality.

about 90% of animes have horrible endings, or they don't end at all, making us wait for another season. The list of animes the let viewers down by the end of the series is waaaay too long of a list.

School Rumble, purely because you thought it was going to end at the end of season 1, then season 2, but didn't. But then they couldn't be bothered with the 3rd and just made the last two episodes, skipping everything.. and the end was also crap.

Martian Successor Nedesico... great, fun anime which ends with tons of questions still unanswered and then a movie comes out which is totally pointless and if anything only raises more questions :S

Death Note had a bad ending? Have people been sucking exhaust pipes? It's one of the only GOOD anime endings ever made, though the anime actually finished it better than the manga did.

You don't have to be clarevoyant to know Naruto will have a terrible ending, it's just like how everyone was excited over Lost and I pointed out the ending would be terrible. Nobody listened, but I sit in smug content that I was right.

On the opposite hand I'd say the Elfen Lied anime ended much better than the manga. At least the anime had the decency to stop after the emotional finish, while the manga came back with 'and here's them living happily ever after- oh wait there's a giant jellyfish monster after them now!' Seriously.
