it was pretty great for the first 46 episodes (not perfect, but overall pretty good)
and then the last 4 eps managed to not only make me hate almost the entire cast (main characters first and foremost)
not only rushed the plot while at the same time introduced too many needless elements.
not only brought back to life too many characters.
but simply made NO sense at all from a story telling point of view

it was an ending that felt like the writers just went "we don't want a traditional gundam-esk ending with all the good guys joining forces against a common evil, so instead lets completely fuck up the plot, form alliances that make no sense, derail half the cast, and just generally throw any pretense of logic out the window for the sake of being different"

a total cluster fuck, and a complete train wreck top to bottom

Death Note. After L died it turned to shit resulting in a wildly unimaginative and contrived ending.

Soul Eater's anime had a bad ending.
In what way? I mean I agree that the last battle was kinda lame but the ending itself was kind of good according to me? You think they ended it too fast or all the talking about courage made you think it sucked?

Actually if you think about it there was a point to the ending. If L had won the fanboys wouldve had a rave at anyone who likes Kira, but since they both lose and by mostly eachother's causes, you never really end up with a problem of bias of who is right.

I'd say Death Note.
While the actual ending wasn't too bad, most of the 2nd half of the show slowly but surely degraded in quality.
I'm completely with you on this one. It was acceptable, but nowhere near the previous episodes.

i loved mnemosyne, but the last episode was just wank. In a subtle twist i hate the ending because they revealed everything, answered all the questions... to be honest its makes a show better if you leave some questions unanswered, i mean, why do you think people are still talking about evangelion today?
The other problem was the way it revealed everything, it literally just whent down the list ticking all the boxes... there was no suspense and no drama, all the expectation that the show had built up just fizzled out without so much as a wet plop.

about 90% of animes have horrible endings, or they don't end at all, making us wait for another season. The list of animes the let viewers down by the end of the series is waaaay too long of a list.
Anime is a lot better about that than most western shows. Any given sitcom will just keep going and going until everyone is sick of it and it gets canceled.

Anyway, Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-Chan. In the last episode of the first season they attempted to insert drama into what had until then been 100% comedy, ruining the mood of the show.

I appreciate what they were trying to do but it just comes across as a lazy 'and then everybody died' ending which you know is going to happen as soon as L dies. Why so many episodes were spent dragging out Light's eventual death is... puzzling.

i would say that the gundam seed destiny ending was a big let down, all the characters on the arch angel all there suits finished in one piece! when in other gundam animes say endless waltz they get totaly and utterly trashed to pieces. that and neon genesis if you dont watch the movie cause your just kinda like the fuck happed?

Claymore, more of a cliffhanger, that needs a second series to resolve it. Still a great anime though.
Aye, they really shouldn't have tried so blatantly to set up a second season. Great series though, the finale is actually pretty good by anime standards. I'm really hoping for a second season.

Death Note's ending was really good. It bugs me a little when people hate on it's conclusion.

Although I didn't like L's departure, it ultimately made Light much more interesting to watch. Poor little bugger thought he had won and it was intriguing to say how desperate he'd get (Having what's-her-face burn the barn down with her inside was his darkest hour by far). Watching Light realise his world and dreams were crashing down around him was some of the most compelling anime scenes I have ever seen.

I agree, though tbh I was not fond of the Dragonball Z ending and especially not GT

Fuck you, Shaman King. Fuck you haaard.

I am also betting money that both Naruto and Bleach will have horrible endings.
I think anything with over 200 episodes will fizzle out as far as endings go. And about death note.
It was disappointing because Light lost just because migami (I think cant remember name) was an utter retard. Light played perfectly but lost to a toddler because of his ally...

One that came to mind was the ending to Chrono Crusade. I don't guess it was necessarily a crappy ending just a ridiculously depressing ending with practically nothing good happening after everything that happened in the series.

I'm surprised no one has said it, Neon Genesis Evangelion. the last two episodes of the show were an anti-climax with the same production value as my 5th grade powerpoint presentation, and the End Of Evangelion... just WTF? and the worst part is they can't be bothered to clean up the plot it just added plot holes and deus ex machinas. it's fine if u wanna leave somethings unanswered like Darker Than Black did but come on...

Edit: Damn Ninja'd

Then what about FMA the movie anyway? it ends exactly where it began... It's completely pointless...
