Good books

Is there a book which has left a lasting impression on you, or better yet, changed your way of seeings things?
I've read Jack Kerouac's On The Road recently and all my mind is capable of doing is planning trips and the impulse to go on a hedonistic spree clings to me like a shadow :-s.

As for books, I really enjoyed Cannery Row and Tortilla Flat by John Steinbeck.
Another book that I believe is my favorite (for now) is The Natural by Bernard Malamud.

i love the dark tower seris by stephen king. it's not his most famous books(there is seven.) but the characters are lovely and wholelly enjoyable, and the plot, hile being fantasy, makes sense.

Favorite book would be either House of Leaves, or Mortal Engines. Both are awesome.

I'd have to say "This Perfect Day" by Ira Levin. It starts out with a "perfect society" which most people hope we achieve one day, but the book digs deeper and shows the wrongs of changing human nature. We are made to be imperfect which, in-turn, makes us perfect. It sounds like 1984, but it's so much better, goes so much deeper, and is a lot less awkward.

Im rereading A Game of Thrones right now....i can't watch half the characters interact without feeling just slightly depressed. Especially you know who.
