I'm going on holiday for a short while tommorow and was hoping to pick up Resident Evil The Mercenaries beforehand. To my dismay its not out in the UK untill July the 1st. I'm still going to call at the shop before hand but I need a reletivly cheap game to get to carry me over for a few days untill Resident Evil comes out. I already own China town wars, Rayman 3DS, Super mario Bros and super Scribblenauts. Any Ideas what I should buy?

Pokemon. Umm... I really want to make a post that is longer than just "Pokemon", but that's all I use my DS for.

The three Castlevania games for it. That is it. That is all you need.
Jesus, I've been ninja'd by the first post. Astounding.

But yes, Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin are lovely games, the former more so than the latter. Can't tell you about Order of Ecclesia, though. I can not find that damn game anywhere.

Both Zeldas, Mariokart, and both Advanced Wars.

Just one thing. If you pick up Phantom Hourglass and get stuck at one particular part...close the DS.

The World Ends With You
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2
Lunar Knights
Chrono Trigger (if you haven't already played the original)
Any Professor Layton game (preferably in order)

Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light is also okay, irked me slightly though.

Chrono Trigger if you haven't all ready played it.

Also Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is great

The Phoenix Wright/Ace Attorney seris and Ghost Trick are both pretty awesome.

I particularly enjoyed the challenging Henry Hatsworth. It had an amazing soundtrack combined with fun platforming, great boss battles, and a fun puzzle minigame worked into the core gameplay.

Seconded!

They're play-once games with little replayability, but damn are they worth more than any movie. Those guys write better than Valve or Bioware, and that's with the need to localize.

Square's done some great remakes/ports for the DS.
Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, and Chrono Trigger are great.
Also, Warioware Touched was great, though it may be a little hard to find now.
Not to mention Mario 64 DS, and New Super Mario Bros. I've heard the Mario & Luigi games are great too.
Plus Professor Layton.

You can't go wrong with the DS library. It's loaded with classics.

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey AND Devil
Sorry for the OT-ness OP, but I'm hijacking your thread:

How was Strange Journey? I've heard from My Peoples that as an SMT game it is pretty weak in comparison to the rest of the series.
