Was it the ending of season 1 or 2 of code geass that you didn't like? I ask because I thought the ending of season 2 was tremendous and season 1's was kind of a cliffhanger.
Whichever was the end of Lelouch of the Rebellion.

God, that sucked
Actually they are both Lelouch of the Rebellion, but season 2 is Lelouch of the Rebellion R2.

Fable 2

After the final boss "fight" I was just sitting there for about 10 mins going "Wtf that's it?..".I really thought it was a fake ending at first

Assassin's Creed 2 wasn't bad, but terribly mind-fucking.
"OK, we've gone through a whole game involving Assassins, Templars and the like.

Let's throw a race that created humans, a war with them, and some weird crap in the last five minutes just in order to confuse everyone." - Ubisoft
The guys boss looks at him and then states,"Your a genius, who needs a comprehensive story when we can just bury it in garbage, you're getting a raise."

And for animes?

Death Note
Seconded.
Actually, the whole show started going downhill for me from the moment L died.

As for games, I'll go with Viking: Battle for Asgard. Fun gameplay and solid atmosphere, even for an open-world game (which are usually not so much to my liking) - and then they hit you with a joke of a boss fight and an ending so stupid it induced apocalyptic rage in me.

The end of RE5 why would you kill off the only character with personality
Not sure [that character] (keeping it spoiler-free for anyone that hasn't played) ever had personality past their original debut, but I enjoyed [that character]. [That Character] died in such a lack luster way that felt totally out of sync of [That Character]. :(

Batman: Arkham Asylum. Such an amazing game that went for the more psychological aspects of the characters (like "Batman Begins", but with a touch of "Jacob's Ladder" for good measure), all for it to end in a generic boss-fight? Talk about a cop-out.

Fallout 3.

Weak ending. The whole water purification quest would've been better as a sidequest, rather than the main plot for the entire game.
I'll have to agree with you there.

Still, it?s probably my favorite of this generation so far but that ending was super-lame.

I also remember finishing gta4 and thinking, that?s it? It didn?t need more story missions (ironically one of the only things they added) but it needed more stuff for the player to do. Hell, Vice City Stories had more features and most of them were more fun than a cabaret show. I wasn?t so involved with the characters that I gave a crap about Niko killing/sparing anyone else in the game not to mention the guy was just responsible for the death of some chick I went on one date with. But the lack of content was what most disappointed.

Fable 2 will forever be to me the epitome of a terrible ending.

I was letting the bad guy tell me his reasoning, and I was waiting for this big climatic end battle to begin when Reaver shot him...

I have never in my life been so mad at a non-existent person as I had been at that point.

I just can not forgive Peter for what he promised me, and then gave me.

It had fire and explosions, he went out in style. Just a shame my favourite character from the series had to "die" (He's been dead before so they better bring him back for Resi 6 >=C )

Batman: Arkham Asylum. Game of the year 09 easily, loved 99% of it, the last 1% is the final boss fight. Then after that, having it set Two Face up as a villain in the sequel, we now know that Jokers back to take center stage?

Grumble.

That's the first time I've heard "enjoy" and "Near" in the same sentence. I hated him so goddamn much. I can appreciate them trying to do something different, but obviously there's going to be a lot of the tension and dynamic lost with them thousands of miles apart until the end, whereas light and L were dancing around each other all the time, and it was great. I won't rant too much, I realise it's just opinion, but at any rate my biggest beef was with the end. I get Light had to die, but the way they caught him out seemed so lackluster, because it was mikami's mistake, and Near got lucky. If it had been some act of overconfidence, seeing as L was gone, it would be a lot more fitting I think...

Also, to me, L was the protagonist, so there was that too. *sadface*

Why so? It wasn't enormously epic but t'was still good imo

Anyway, Borderlands... I went with the grind and whatever the hell else I had to do just because I needed a little closure, like who was that mysterious character and what the hell is in the Vault then.

That isn't a given though. We know the joker has taken over Gotham again, but remember how in the trailer he's old and decrepid. Plus, Mark Hamill has already said he will never do voice acting for the Joker again, and if you don't have that distinctive voice I don't want to see him.

I'll grant you that. Action packed exit, for sure. It's just the way he picked over "viruses" in the past, and settled on this one so quickly seemed... out of character. Like, the Nemesis virus was the bomb! T-Veronica virus too. He didn't want any of that. Then this? It seemed like this virus was to much of a gamble, but he was ready to go nuts over it. Just... so out of chracter.
