The overworld bits in NMH, the hunt at the end of MP3, Victory Road in Pokemon, sailing in Wind Waker, Water Temple in OoT, Rainbow ride in SM64.

Some of the fights in Prototype are unnecessarily fucking frustrating.

Hey, guess what?
Fuck you, developers.
That shit isn't fun.

WHEE GETTING BLOWN OFF OF BUILDINGS EVERY HALF SECOND IS SUPER COOL

What the fuck were you thinking?
Nothing?
Was it nothing?
I fucking bet it was.
Hahahahaha. I know how you feel, I had the same trouble. So many fights I had to bail out, consume a bunch of people and get back into the fray.

In the original Kingodm Hearts when you were fighting Riku, I would die and then have to sit through a two and a half minute cutscene (That is unskipable) only to have a 20-30 second fight and die again.

First God of War...
Hades was the most annoying and tedious level of patience and attrition I have played in years... so many cheap deaths on all those stupid spiky rotating columns. and one hit made you start over.

Then I'd have to say... the combat in Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. AMAZING game, but the combat felt forced and far too repetitive. Still the best platforming in 3D Ive ever played though.

Silent Hill 2... except for a lot of the gameplay choices. Theyre frustrating, but the more I think about it, it adds SO MUCH to the feeling of terror that goes out the window in something like Resident Evil where you always have a gun, or multiple guns/weapons

The 3 dungeon arc after Estelle gets kidnapped. The first one you also lose raven so you're down to Karol for healing. He's not too bad but I'll take Raven's love shot any day. Then The Hercles and Zaude were these labyrinths with annoying puzzles and the same enemies I'd been fighting for quite a few dungeons now.

Also the entire Letz Shake section in No More Heroes, earned all that money for a funny cut scene. IF getting money wasn't so grindtastic I wouldn't be as pissed.

Just to wrap it up The Twilight town segment in Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door. Back and forth across a map with tough enemies and you with only 1 party member and your weak ass self.

The freaking flying boss in Shadow of the Colossus. It makes me just want to scream in frustration because I keep falling off. There are more frustrating bosses, but this one was just ludicrous for me.

Then there's the Demyx bos battle in Kingdom Hearts II. It's frustrating as all hell at first, but once you get into the swing of it, it gets rather enjoyable. Now, if the AI weren't so freaking 'tarded. Also, is it me, or is beating up Demyx and/or his water clones theraputic?

Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. The freaking starting dungeon! Please see Yahtzee's review on PHourglass and you will find my exact thoughts on the subject.

The combat in Prince Of Persia: Sands of Time made me want to fire the game into the sun. This is an amazing game, but the combat was rather samey and boring.

The quicktime events for RE4. I don't WANT to "Press X to not die"! Also, any not-zombie with a chainsaw and a sack on their head was definitely worthy of a controller through the screen.

My last complaint is the digging sections on Okami. Since I bought it for the Wii and it's easier for it, but for cripes sakes, I'm not part mole! There's a lot of stuff to complain about in that game, but there's a lot to like too. I just don't want to go into all the gripes I have.

Assassin's Creed.

Lahwdy I loved that game but Jesus it was repetitive.

Completely inverse...

Modern Warfare 2. I loved the gameplay so much!

...But the story...

...it's so stupid...

Dead Space's asteroid defense. It does not help that the aiming system is hard to maneuver as well as the asteroids being ridiculously invisible due to the lighting (adjusted the lighting to the highest just to get by getting the trophies).

Many people here thought that the spiky columns in the Hades level of the first God of War was annoying? Those are not the annoying ones. It was actually easy for me considering I know that pressing the jump button allows you to climb faster. The annoying one are the platforming levels of the hades level, like the rotating cylindrical floors, as well as those cheap hell harpies.

To this day I have yet to beat the game because of that stage, that and the fact that my Ps2 died.

  • The one said above: The reason said above
Halo 3: having to walk extremely slow while listening to Cortana and Gravemind speak
Fallout 3: Having to reload every time I failed a speech challenge (It was worth experience and possible loot, like i'm giving up that.)

Best I could think of.

I've heard this several times, and I agree completely

But if i had to come up with my own answer i would say the space battles in Star Wars Battlefront 2
God, i was so horrible at it, but every time an enemy fleet had a choice between a plant and my fleet it would always choose my fleet
