Hmmm... I'm going to have to go with that ending part of Chernobyl level in COD4.
Playing it on hardened wasn't fun... it was just brutal.
I think I pretty much had to cheat to get through frustration.

I LOVED travelling the Fade. I really did! It felt creepy, tense and urgent!

...now...the ending of that game has prevented me from firing it up again. *sighs*
What about the ending? I liked the one I got. Both of them actually. Which one did you score?
As an elf, Alistair dumps yer arse when he's asked to be king. So, looking to go out in a blaze of glory, said elf races to the archdemon, where Alistair promptly steals my suicide!!! Reload, and TAKE Morrigan's 'deal' ... and I have to watch?? Ugh...Reload: finally get my epic saga death ... get to see Alistair weeping over my corpse...*sighs*

Actually...it's not a complaint. I loved it in a "Yes sir, can I have another, sir" kind of way. But it HURT...

Ouch, you really ran into a nasty one, didn't you...

As a male elf mage, I took Morrigan's deal (I was romancing her anyhow), killed the Archie and became the hero, then rode off into the sunset to look for Morrigan and my Demon Offspring. As a female human noble, I had Alistair do Morrigan, killed the Archie and rode off into the sunset with Leliana the Lesbian. From what I understand that if you're a female human noble you can actually marry Alistair and become the queen.

There's actually a decent number of variations on how the ending sequence plays out, based on your gender, origin, romance and the whole Landsmeet section. The endings go from tragic (your case) to heroic with a side dish of ominous (my case) :)

Some of the fights in Prototype are unnecessarily fucking frustrating.

"WE'LL JUST GIVE THE MILITARY THE ABILITY TO FIRE A CONTINUOUS STREAM OF 'FUCK YOU' MISSILES, ALL OF WHICH RESULT IN A SECOND OR TWO OF 'OH FUCK JESUS FUCK TIME TO ROLL' ON YOUR PART."

Hey, guess what?
Fuck you, developers.
That shit isn't fun.

WHEE GETTING BLOWN OFF OF BUILDINGS EVERY HALF SECOND IS SUPER COOL

What the fuck were you thinking?
Nothing?
Was it nothing?
I fucking bet it was.
I dunno I had an easy enough time up till the part where they TOOK MY FUCKING POWERS AWAY! D< And the final boss... "Oh hey I'm gonna fuck your shit up now? K?! Aw you wanna eat that guy? TOO BAD I JUST KILLED YOU AGAIN!"

Seriously, you should write for Cracked.
Don't think I haven't considered it.
I'd just need someone to hand me a subject and I could probably do it.
Your style pretty much suits Cracked. And that's a good thing!

Ok then lets start the list!

The starter zone in baldurs gate 2, man I hated that prison.

Completing diablo 2 on accident on my level 20 something sorc and no longer being able to join normal games

Being chased from balmora to vivec to the archipelago to the right of the map. And it was ONLY balmora guards chasing me, you know the dudes with the yellowish armor?

Missions on red faction guerilla where you had to escape with an "armored" car and you had to drive through stuff. I got rammed once by an EDF car and it exploded.

On Dark Cloud when you're stuff broke you f**king lost them. I got so annoyed at that I felt like throwing my PS2 out the window.

The Crocodiles on resident evil 5, on my death sheat I have died 4 times to them, and one time to those chainsaw dudes, thats all ive died. Stupid crocodiles <.<

The ending of Borderlands.

Cliffhangers on any game just piss me off.

On Dragon Age: Origins when I found Jowan in the prison in Redcliffe, my team kept complaining "Oh no! Hes a blood mage! We cant let him free" But after that I became a blood mage and they havnt said a word.

I loathed that section of CoD4 where you have to lay flat while the entire Russian army walks past you in a field.

Maybe I missed the point, but it seemed arbitrary. I would lay practically on top of the senior sniper and they would still spot me.

The boss fights (especially the last one) in Batman: Arkham Asylum, and fighting Kessler in inFamous on hard. It just takes hours.
I fired up Infamous for the first time, saw there were nested trophies for different difficulties, so I went straight to hard to get them all at the same time in one playthrough.

Worst. Decission. Ever.

Infamous is downright awful on hard. Enemies will snipe you from two blocks away and never give up. I used to commit suicied before trying to complete missions just to get rid of the twenty heavily armed enemies I had aggroed just walking to the mission start marker.

And yes, the final boss has so much health I actually thought it was a puzzle and you needed to do something other than shoot him to take life away from him. But no, it's not a puzzle. You just need to keep doing that for an hour.

I didn't mention that game straight away because I honestly think it's not a great game, so it doesn't fit the theme. But damn, it was frustrating.

Also, much more fun if you play as a bad guy. On easy.
If you think that was bad, you should have tried playing Spawn Armageddon. The final boss had so much health that it took me about 3 hours to complete on normal. I had to pause the game and walk away because my hand was cramping from jamming the B button so damn much.
Was that the angel thing? I played Spawn Armageddon years ago, can't remember it too well. (Sorry for the giant boxes, can't quite figure out how to select just the one bit to quote)

I made the same mistake too, but changed to easy 2/3 of the way through. Kesseler is easy if you just use force lightning.

On Disgaea: HoD there are about 3-4 REALLY hard maps, thye all require amazing stratigic planning and power leveling, there only difficult first run but some maps are just painful when your not 1000+
Fuck, I bought the DS port of that game a while ago, but haven't got round to passing chapter 4. That sounds like a depressing amount of levelling. Maybe I'll stick to tactics A2 after all xD.

Mine has to be Borderlands, with the annoyance of Mordecai being almost unstoppable in PVP with an upgraded Bloodwing. It's god-damned unavoidable, even while Phasewalking, hurts like heck, and stuns. Seriously, what?

Half-Life 2:EP1 and the antlion part.

So we have one hole and one car, good.
Then we have three cars and three holes. Okay.
Then, finally, we go outside. And guess what? Holes. And cars.

No, thanks.

sonic adventure battle 2
best sonic game of all time but some how they thought that putting 3 chaos emeraldes in a gaurded fort with lasers, on a shorter time limit would not be that hard. I got an a on it but only because I got lucky and the emeraldes were in the nearest robots

The part when you fight The End in MGS3. Such a great battle, its just way to hard, especially when, after spending an hour fighting him, getting him down to 1/4 of his health, he fully heals himself.
That was the most epic sniper fight in ANY game. The scariest shit is sometimes if you stay in one place to long, looking through a scope or sound-thingy, The End will stealth up on you and shoot you point blank, then run away! Man made me jump a few times doing that!

I live for that sniper battle, when I play MGS3.
