What are good game that you've played tat never got a sequel that you think they deserved?

Personally a couple off the top of my head are Star Wars Republic Commando and Chromehounds.

Freedom Fighters
I post this on every thread I can, regardless of how related it is.
Maybe IO will grow a mind and make this now. An amazing game, with pretty in depth mechanics.
Although it will probably sell out to the HQ Graphics crowd, and shoot all inovation in the foot. Aw.

Star Wars: Republic Commando
Not because it's Star Wars, but because back in the day it was a fun squad based fps.

InB4 Star Wars Battlefront 2

Which basically ends this thread. Sorry gents.

OT: Chromehounds? You think so? I liked it, but it never really had 'sequel' material in my opinion. The online multiplayer too just stagnated right off the bat, unfortunately. If a sequel was made, and as much emphasis was made in mutliplayer on class balance as was made in the single player campaign, i'd support it.

Legend of Dragoon needs a sequel. Chrono-Trigger. (Yeah I'm gonna be that guy) Ninety-nine Knights never got a sequel I don't think.

Ever heard of Kya: Dark Lineage?

No, I didn't think so. Well, it was a great game for the PS2, but it could have been so much better. If they had fixed up the issues in a sequel, it would have been amazing.

Hmmm, seen that around several times but I always thought it looked unimpressive. Care to sell it to me? (Tell me the good features, why it's good, etc. I could look it up, but I figure someone who's endorsing it would be able to do a better job)

It did, and it still sucked xD

I agree with Legend of Dragoon, but Chrono Trigger? . . . Ever heard of Chrono Cross?

Thank you for saying this. Freedom fighters was and still is a brilliant game, which some well thought out mechanics and ideas which could be developed upon further, and they did leave it wide open for a sequel. It just never came.

As for other games, Rebulic Commando is something that suprised me at not getting a sequel especially considering how short the game was. Again this game was left open for a sequel that never came.

And Mirrors Edge - annoying but alluring

Arcanum never got a sequel. Kinda sad how it was so good.
That's very true. It's sad enough that it never got a sequel, even sadder that the studio didnt last either.

Dungeon Keeper got Dungeon Keeper 2, but number 3 was being made and that gets my vote.

Stuff that I'd like to see more of?

Vampire: Bloodlines
Planescape: Torment (not a direct sequel, but rather more Planescape games)
Jade Empire
