I think i am gonna go and say Prey, it even ended with a cliff hanger.
I thought it had lot of unique mechanics to it the way the alien ship was built.

I can think of a ton of games that deserve sequels. I don't know whether or not they would work out, but here's a list of my picks:

- The Clock Tower-series (4, Haunting Ground doesn't count)
- Freedom Fighters
- Chaos Legion
- Drakan: The Ancients' Gates
- Damnation (Hell yeah, I love that game.)
- Folklore
- Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth
- Extermination
- Eternal Ring
- Headhunter (3)
- Alone in the Dark (Hey, it has a lot of potential.)
- Legendary
- Manhunt (3)
- MDK (3)
- Metro 2033
- Project Eden
- Psychonauts
- Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy

My favorite arcade fighting game Primal Rage, yet my wish was half granted, Bitmasters made a sequel, but they soon ran into bankruptsy afterwards. This game was never realeased to home consoles, it is now shrouded in mystery. *Humms the Twilight Zone theme*

Legend of Dragoon needs a sequel. Chrono-Trigger. (Yeah I'm gonna be that guy) Ninety-nine Knights never got a sequel I don't think.
Legend of Dragoon got 'Panzer' the shooter spin-off sequel, and Chrono Trigger got Chrono Cross, and Ninety-nine nights got N3: Ninety-Nine Nights II

Both Legend and Chrono "sequels" where as related to their predecessors as every Final Fantasy is related to their previous titles... as in not at all.

That said, Chrono Trigger has been in my top 3 since I first played it on the SNES I now own it on SNES, Play Station, DS, and (thanks to emulators) my Droid phone (I'd love to see square put it in the itunes app store).

I would love to see a direct sequel, but the story was so perfectly constructed the sequel could only take away from the original... I wouldn't mind a remake, keep all the story and mechanics and give it a graphics overhaul (same for FFVII, update graphics release on PS3, sale 1 million more play station threes).

My bid for a sequel goes to Skies of Arcadia (air ships, pirates, what's not to love?). With Psychonauts taking a close second.

Yahtzee's fav, Shadow of the Colossus, was disqualified since it's sequel is being made.

Scarface for the PS2, that game is extrermely underrated and does not get the credit it deserves. Also, the Godfather 2 and Oblivion (if that counts).

Metal arms: Glitch in the System desperately needs a sequel, too bad the company that made it went bankrupt a long time ago. I really loved that game :(.

Star Wars: Republic Commando
Not because it's Star Wars, but because back in the day it was a fun squad based fps.
This. We need more squad-based shooters!!!

Oh, and they need to wipe The Force Unleashed 2 from the history books and create another one that's actually worthy of the title.

The Darkness... I'm still hoping for a sequel goddammit!
Oooooh, yes, this too!!! I just beat it and it was soooooo good.

Also, just out of curiosity, are there two different endings? Cause how mine ended
Jackie kills Paulie and with that last kill the Darkness takes over his soul.
Just seemed to me like there was another ending. But yeah.

Nobody has said God Hand yet, so i'll go ahead and throw it in.
Why did I only find out about it a little while ago (I knew it existed by everything I saw about it lead me to believe it was crap)?!

Listen to the theme song for god's sake!

Anyways, I've been ninja'd on LotD, Republic Commando, and possibly on a few others, so I'll just say these:

Lost Planet: It got... something, but I would never consider it a sequel, given how it removed everything it could from the original. That's a spiritual successor.
The Darkness: Horribly needs one
Darksiders: It may come out, but this is just as of yet. See, this game kept its promise from pre-release to final cutscene and never let go. Sure it didn't deliver completely, but it deserves a sequel.
Xenosaga 3: Seriously, Namco, dick move there.
Rogue Galaxy: Same universe, different characters, I'd be fine.
