OP: Almost forgot, Front Mission 3 & 4.
Hey, I like that needless complexity. I actually recently went through the trouble of starting my own eevee eugenics program so that I could get optimum IVs for my own eevee evolution team. I even went through the trouble of EV training all six. Yes, I know there's seven evolutions. I let my umbreon rot in my PC box.MizPiz said:The new Pokemon games are pretty good (albeit needlessly complex)
On site site you're just as likely to find that bullshit in any thread.Axeli said:This thread has JRPG in its title. Few trolls for each page is pretty much guaranteed.
As a JRPG hater i find that pathetic... Okey i think thouse game are in no way RPG... Dosnt mean there arant any of them who are goods... (in fact i liked some, who rare exception i dont like the genre in general, and i say it again theyr are not RPG... but Chrono Triger, Baiten Kaitos and Tales of Symphonia where fun...)Scythax said:lolsidereal_day said:Good JRPGs
or a RPG at all again... from what i understood it's an extremlely hard Hack and Slash... Nothing moreCasual Shinji said:The last good Japanese RPG I played was Demon's Souls.
But I don't think you can consider that a traditional JRPG.
I guess an RPG can mean anything these days. *looking at Mass Effect 2*Talvrae said:or a RPG at all again... from what i understood it's an extremlely hard Hack and Slash... Nothing moreCasual Shinji said:The last good Japanese RPG I played was Demon's Souls.

Pretty much the deffinition of an Hack and Slash if you ask meCasual Shinji said:But in lamens terms, it's a dungeon crawler where you choose how to upgrade your stats, weapons and armor.
Considering the general attitude/flames I've seen over them, I'd consider that an odd assumption. From the demo I played, however, I agree with your recommendation.xmetatr0nx said:Im going to assume that everyone here is a JRPG fan...i absolutely dislike them now. And for shame that none of you named any of the Dragon Quest games.
Dragon Quest VIII
EDIT: Ok there was one mention.
This is a little OT, but are they any good jrpgs where you don't have to grind? I ususally straight to the end of the game to finish the story only to find that I need to gain an extra 10-20 levels just to beat the last boss. It really takes away from the flow of the storylineThe_Blue_Rider said:Dragon quest 8 was quite good but only if you're patient, there is quite a bit of grinding in that game
