Haven't seen a good mystery movie in awhile, the last one probably being that '88 Minutes' movie which turned out be an overall ok movie but nothing near to what I hoped it would be.

So any suggestions for a good mystery flick?

Shutter Island's coming out next week and it looks like a pretty damn good thriller/mystery.

Others:
Se7en
The Sixth Sense
Memento
Silence of the Lambs
The Brave One
7 Days (it's Korean though so good luck finding it, but I think it's good enough that it's worth looking)

I actually have an import store not far from my house so I'll keep an eye out for it

Mulholland Drive - it's one hell of a mindfuck, but it's just SO freaking awesome.

If you are a mystery fan, you've probably watched all the ones I can think of.

But just in case, if for some reason you've never seen "The Usual Suspects", do yourself a favor and go watch it right now.

Oh, and have you watched "Lucky Number Slevin"? Damn good movie too.

Yeah, I know, very obvious suggestions... :)

Arlington Road is an awesome mystery movie. Very intense.

Easy. It makes money. Don't complain, if you don't like it then don't watch it and just shut up with the complaining.

Sorry about that, I just hate Twilight ranters and hates as much as the fangirls. Anyway, if you're looking for a good mystery film, OP, then you can do a lot worse than 'Identity'. It's a thriller where a group of about ten different people (including the guy who plays Dr. Cox) end up trapped in a motel for the night, blocked from civillization by a flooded river. Soon, they start being killed off one by one, though some deaths ook like accidents, they're having to find the killer in their midst. Meanwhile, some distance away, a psychologist (Alfred Molina) is examining a mentally ill Death Row inmate, convicted of murder, to determine if he is cured enough to be eligible for parole...

Very good film, that is. I highly recommend it :).

You knew everyone would jump at the sight of the word "Twilight" when you were posting it.

Oh don't get your panties in a twist. It was a joke.

I knew there would be a small percentage of people that wouldn't get the joke and be a total ass about it. But who cares about them, amirite or amirite? (D)

OT: If you really want a mystery, try Donnie Darko. You literally have to watch this movie more than once, maybe even 4 or five times to really get it. Not that its a good movie ...

I like to watch the feature length Agatha Christie's Poirot which shows a lot on ITV2 or 3 (that's in the UK :p) and they're a really good watch and a there's a proper mystery, unlike Silence of the Lambs! COME ON people, we don't even see the killer's face until she catches him, it doesn't qualify as a mystery movie because working out who the killer is isn't the main point of the plot! It's a Thriller!

If we're allowed to go into TV, I'd say also keep a look out for Inspector Morse. Slightly dated now (made in the early 90s) but great to watch and normally a decent mystery.

Se7en. Very good film, pretty graphic, but awesome story, and very god acting from Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt and Kevin Spacey.

It's pretty much a must see :)
