I've seen that before, in a book of ghost stories I believe. Yeah, it is rather disturbing. It's got nothing on Shadow People, though. Those things give me the shivers.
And here is the book,
http://www.amazon.com/More-Scary-Stories-Tell-Dark/dp/0064401774/ref=pd_sim_b_4

By the way that book is meant for kids, And the pictures in it are really creepy a horrible book for 8 year olds.

Oh gods yes, that one. I remember some of the freakier pictures in there. They kept me up many a night, those ones. I wonder if I still have it...

Ya the stories are maybe 10 year old level not to bad, But the pictures they would freak out people who are 50, That illustrator wanted to just ruin a kids life I think.

I was a kid when Ocarina of Time came out. I loved the game, but four things irreparably scared me shitless: Stalchildren (I had to turn the game off the first time it became night in Hyrule Field), Stalfos (their laugh... GAH), Gibdos, and especially ReDeads. I had ReDead nightmares more than once. The groan, the scream, and the way they grabbed you... everything about them was hellish. *shiver*

Both of those are seconded. And, as I said earlier, I don't think I'll ever get a good night's sleep again until I find out what Fallout 3's Centaurs are, at least. Seriously, wtf are they?

Neon Genesis Evangelion's bigger mind screw moments for me, but the biggest nightmare fuel I've ever seen...

Google "amigara faults". It's a short manga that I looked up because I'm an idiot and it scarred me to the point that... I mean... If the Doctor showed up on my doorstep with the TARDIS and offered me the chance to change a single thing about my life, I'd go back and stop myself from reading that. I'm better now (I read the manga about a year ago) but for a good... five months? Yeah, I had to sleep with the lights on and I kept my closet door shut because I kept expecting to see... well, anyone who's read it will know.

I still have nightmares...

I have no idea why I had this dream, but after the first time I saw Alien I kept having dreams of Ian Holm saying, "Perfect. Organism." in the same way as the movie. That was more weird than scary.

The Takashi Miike film Audition (Odishon) is about as warped and terrifying as they come. I'm a hardened horror veteran and still thought that it was really disturbing.

The toy Krusty from one of the Treehouse of Horror episodes.

I had nightmares of that thing when I was a kid.

The animated series Rugrats provided me with a lot of nightmare fuel, especially the "It's a Wonderful Life" episode in which Chucky wished himself out of existence.

OH MY FREAKIN GOD! i had that too, xcept it was those freaking hands that fell from the ceilings, i can still remember running around in circles, franticly mashing the B button

oh, and later on Fatal Frame, i never lost sleep or anything, but i could never use the f&%$ing camera well enough, so each encounter ended up with me just legging it.

First time I did Half-Life 2's Ravenholm section.
I stepped out into the moonlight, a burnt and mangled corpse dangling from a tree nearby, swaying in the breeze; three crows feasting on rotting flesh on the floor.

Fuck.That.Shit.

On subsequent playthroughs I still get the creeps when Dog opens the path for you, and seals your fate by locking you in.

The last real bad nightmare I had was with my cat.
She's old and cranky, normally, but in the nightmare I had walked into my bathroom and found her sitting there. It went into night vision (Greenish eyes, everything else is white) and my cat mauled the hell outta me. I woke up sweating. D:
Also a bad dream based off of Resistance: Fall of Man.
Cool thing is, though, ALOT of my dreams are crossovers between video games.

I have actually seen so many horror movies and things that i have dreams about them. Most of the time they are werid but one occasion i was dreaming of a movie in which peoples shadows run away and hunt them down and kill them(Silly I know.) Anyway I woke up at 1am and saw my brother walking to his room. I took two shaky breaths then screamed the loudest I had ever screamed. My brother stopped and went "Jesus are you okay?" at which point I picked up a lamp and beat the shit out of him. He took it well and held me down until I came to my senses. Then I didn't sleep. For a month.

The whole Under the Well/Shadow Temple sequence was freaky like nothing else.

Well, apparently they are a mix of animals or in other cases a mix of human body parts exposed to the FEV, as shown here.

Hopefully you can sleep better knowing this information.

As for the topic, those cyborg midwives from System Shock 2 sent me running in the opposite direction, screaming my head off.

Well, obviously I don't feel fear now. That was before Nova Prospekt.

Also, there was that movie...what was it called? Jeepers Creepers or something? Yeah. I had an irrational fear of fields from that one. Even the trailer made me scared.
