Psychonauts. Probably the most cleverly-written videogame ever made. Oh, and the gameplay is alright too. I suppose.

Though Erik Wolpaw, co-writer of Psychonauts, went on to head the writing staff of Portal, so even if you didn't play it, we all reaped the bounties anyway.
Yeah, Psychonauts was actually one of the games I just played and I really like it! Finnaly a really good platformer with some adventure game aspects as well as a great story with deep and well developed characters.

Tim Schafer has said that he wants to make a sequel to Psychonauts if he could find a publisher. I really wish his games would get a little bit more publicity. Sure, Brütal Legend got some and i really liked the game, but I would like to see more of his great humor and story that Brütal Legend didn't have.

Let's see how many people have heard of these games. They might not be the greatest "classic" type of games, but they are definitely worth a quick play, and they're certainly getting on in their years.

Amplitude (PS2)
Stretch Panic (PS2)
Space Channel 5 (PS2)
GEX (all three of 'em) (PS1)

Alright, I think that's it from me for now, just some of my favorite old games.

First 2 Elder Scrolls games.

That being said, any idea where I could find these games? They aren't on Steam or GOG.

conkers bad fur day (on the n64, not the xbox) it is awsome
Haha, another one of the games i just played through. I just love some of the dark humor with the little cute squirrel lost in such a big and unforgiving world, and all he want is to get back home.

A little sad in the end though. Poor guy...

Giants: Citizen Kabuto (bit more recent than the others here but...) get the PC version if you can, it's WAY better than the PS2 one.

No one said Deus Ex. So sad

Everyone who havent played this game yet, go play it now. Its still one of my favourite games of all time, even though it is 10 years old now. Go play it now, you wont regret it

Heroes of Might & Magic 3: If you haven't played this game... well, I don't know what to say other than shame on you. Shame! This is one of those few games I find appeals to just about everyone, and it's aged wonderfully to boot. My little teenaged sister, over ten years younger than me who's currently obsessed with anime, even she loves this game. It's just one of those few games that tend to appeal to everyone in one way or another, while also being so very, very good! It's just a prime example of a game which somehow does everything right, and those are surprisingly rare.
This! I...freakin'...LOVE THAT GAME!!! Played it with a friend a couple of days ago. One match that lasted about 16+ hours.

Played the fourth one some years ago, and I was deeply moved of how BAD it was. Seriously, don't play or even THINK about buying it. >_<

I think that Elder Scrolls : Arena and Daggerfall can be downloaded for free from the TES website.

Ontopic: Deus Ex and System Shock 2 for anyone that hasn't finished them at least 3 time already.

Edit: *sigh* someone beat me to it

My all-time almost perfect favorite:

Terranigma

a Action-RPG for the SNES, it was one of the last games for the supernintendo (1996, never released in the states and the N64 was already released in Japan) and since then no game has beaten the feeling I have while playing Terranigma (I still play it at least once a year).
