More and more I have the feeling that I'm less and less considered a normal gamer. I was brought up a PC gamer (I still play console games, as long as I can't get it on PC). I played games like the Quake series, UT series, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Half-Life, Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft, and the lot. I still love to play them to this day. Nowadays every person I know is playing Call of Duty or Halo and that's all they want to play. They have no appreciation for older games that are just as much (if not more) fun. They just don't have as advanced graphics.
I don't blame game companies for developing different games and different styles. It gives it a refreshing change. But as time goes on people forget about old games and games style (for instance, CoD4 does not play like quake 3) and sometimes people don't even know about the game because of their age.
What games do you think are classics that no one really "cares" about anymore?
For me, I've always enjoyed UT04 and Quake 2. It's a shame I can't find many people that still play these.
