http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUVNjyvyVqs Matt Nathanson covering Princes "Starfish and Coffe". Funky as hell, plus a cover of Staying Alive by the Beegees as a bonus.

Wouldve posted the "Hey Ya" cover, but wont since its already been brought up. Truly a fantastic cover.

static heaven's covers of evanescence are horrible. They even get some vital words outright wrong.

Nobody's put Gary Jules' cover of Mad World yet.

For bad, I'd have to say Cake's cover of "I Will Survive."

I tend to like covers that try to do something different with the original song, because what's the point of just repeating a song people have already heard in the same way they've heard it before? (plus it'll never sound as good as the original)

Anyway, bad = Panic at the Disco - Karma Police http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9PlTJpGjrk

TBH it's not too bad until 2:10.

Morphine's "You Speak My Language" redone by Collective Soul was excellent, as is Tears for Fears "Mad World" redone by Gary Jules.

It's a rickroll cover: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ceukjOzxZM

I warned you, so I won't get banned, right?

Anyway, that is the worst cover I've heard.

Good - Nirvana covering Bowie's "The Man Who Sold the World" as well as Hendrix's "All Along the Watchtower" are obvious ones. I know a lot of people didn't like APC's Emotive (more or less a covers album), but their versions of "What's Going On" and "When the Levee Breaks" are just breathtaking.

Bad - Pretty much anything following the "Punk Goes Crunk" mindset, i.e. ironic metalcore covers of pop songs. The "Since You've Been Gone" cover was entertaining, but the trend really should have stopped there.

Cradle Of Filth - Hell Awaits
Death - Painkiller
Metallica - Astronomy
Moonsorrow - For Whom The Bell Tolls
Opeth - Would? (Can't find a link, sorry; it's on their Burden (Single) CD)
A Perfect Circle - Imagine
Tool - No Quarter
Vader - Raining Blood

<color=black>Bad
Snoop Dogg - Sad But True (Yeah, it's not a real cover, but it's atrocious nonetheless)

<color=black>Amusing!
Scissor Sisters - Comfortably Numb
Ten Masked Men - White Wedding
A smooth jazz remix - Set To Fail
Richard Cheese - Chop Suey! (And everything else this man does)
