Yep. After all these years of finding out almost everyone didn't like it because 'there wasn't enough guns and combat', turns out enough people liked it to get a sequel. As long as it doesn't end up devolving into guns. I hope the gunplay is as shitty as the first, since that was one of the main reasons I ended up running on walls to escape.

I got into a discussion with a friend of mine about gaming when he brought up an interesting challenge.

He asked me to name good games which aren't sequels and do no HAVE sequels

It was at this point that I was slightly stumped.

So I decided to pass this question to you, how many good(being subjective) stand-alone game titles.

As of now, I only have:
Bayonetta
God Hand
Psychonauts

He does not count reboots or certain reimaginings(apparently, Ico and shadow of the colossus are related)

This may have come up but; The World Ends With You

Seriously, play it, it's absolutely brilliant, kick ass soundtrack too.

Red Dead Redemption. Yeah Rockstar would be stupid not to make another "Red" free-roam western game, but it's unlikely to have any connection to redemption.

Red Dead Redemption is a sequel my good man, to Red Dead Revolver.

From what I've heard, yes. But I haven't been able to find a copy yet so I might just find it online.

While I didn't know that the name was from an established series, The Line is completely divorced from those other games. It stands alone.

I played the spec ops games back when I was a wee lad. Believe me, seeing that it had a new sequel was surprise enough. After hearing from Yahtzee what it was about, even more so
