Also, I'm a Punk fan, but I really don't like The Clash, or Sex Pistols. They pale in comparison to the lesser known Punk groups in the UK at the time.
As a fellow fan of Punk I can say I totally agree. I liked The Clash when I was getting into the genre and I still respect their music, but now that I've found so many other artists they just sound kind of... meh.

Sex Pistols is just shit, really. Never liked the music. Never liked the members of the band. I'll proudly admit that I got into punk via bastardised pop-punk from the 90s/00s. Still better than that shit. Ugh.
Agreed. All of the appeal of the Sex Pistols comes from the highly marketable attitude. It's like Three Chords and the Truth, except they've got like two and a half, and a bunch of lies.

Radiohead.
Either they get a lot of praise just because they sound different, or they're just not to my tastes.
The latter's probably far more likely.

Pantera and Lamb of God.

I'm a fan of metal, but P/LoG...the singers.

Uck, once the singers open their mouths my ears hurt.

Even their album is just a bunch of catchphrases and posturing. I'll never forget an interview a local newspaper did with Lydon where the man said he was on tour to educate the kids of today what Punk really was. About a year later I'm watching him prance around, advertising butter. Priceless...

Rush. The singer's voice is just shrill, terrible and borderline torture.
Led Zepplin. Stairway to Heaven aside, their music just isn't that great.
The Beatles. Most people say they're the geatest band in the world. I just don't see it.
I will agree his voice is borderline torture, but you must admit he has talent?

They're the lads from Country Life, after all.

What answer would you have to this thread's titular question, by the way? Or have I missed it?

2. Rush: My overexposure to another certain band from Canada has led to me to believe there are no good Canadian bands out there (apologies to Canadians).
3. Simple Plan: One word: *pretentious emo moaning*
.
On the first point, well, Canada have good music. However, most "artists" to get hits weren't popularized by us. Bieber was popular because of Usher. Carly Ray Jepsen was popular because Bieber said so. Celine Dion was more of a hit because of "Titanic", etc... In otherwords, why North America insist on taking our crappy artists? Why not Sam Roberts? Why not K-Os? Why not Arcade Fire? You should check the Montreal indy music scene. You're always suprised at some point.

On Simple plan, they were great in the first place? I'll agree with pretentious emo moaning because all their popular songs are about "life is isn't fair WAAAAAHH".

Pink floyd. I think their music is incredibly boring and pretentious. And I found dark side of the moon to be one one of the worst albums I've ever heard.

Red hot chili peppers. I've tried quite hard to get into this band, but aside from a couple of songs, I find their music to be nothing more than "ok". Not bad, just nothing special.

The rolling stones. Again, I like a couple of their songs, but most of their stuff I just find to be kind of "meh".

Also, wow there's a lot of people mentioning the beatles. I don't understand you people. How can you not like the beatles? There music is so perfect, and they did so many different kinds of songs over the years, that there has to be something you can enjoy.

Led Zeppelin's also been mentioned a lot. I guess I can understand that. I friggin love them, but I can see how you might not be into that.

Glad to see my all time favorite band: "The who" has yet to come up. /tempting fate.

-Metallica
It's like listening to blank white wallpaper. No component of their music accomplishes anything at all. Just can't understand the hype.
That's because Megadeth soaked up all the universes potential for the greatest thrash metal, leaving Metallica sludging around at the back. Seriously, those guys lost it in 1990.
Eh, I have "And Justice For All" and "Loaded". Only listened to the first. Can't see what anyone sees in it, myself. If that's what Thrash sounds like, Thrash sucks.

Honestly, *MOST* bands and artists I listen to fall under this. Even the ones I like. But to list a handful (or try to) -

Front Line Assembly - Nice Instrumentals most of the time and can make a few decent tracks when everything comes together (Falling and Bio-Mechanic come to mind), however the Older Material (like Live Wired) is often extreamly long, with far too many Synth effects on the Singer's voice as to make anything he's trying to sing/shout/speak absolutely unintelligable. Newer Material (like the Civilisation album) has better instrumentation and the singer lays off the Synth effects more, but the Lyrics sound like the kind of garbage you'd expect from a Linkin Park album rather than an "Industrial" group.

Frank Klepacki - Hasn't made anything decent since C&C Tiberian Sun. Shows up most closely when he works with other composers on his projects (like Red Alert 3 and Emperor: Battle For Dune, where every other composer practically wipes the floor with him musically). The man depends heavily on Nostalgia factor, to the point where it's become pathetic. Oh, and neither him or his fans can cover Hell March properly IN FULL.

In fact, CAPATCHA sums him up nicely - "old hat" X3

Nightwish - This is more at the fans than the Artist. I don't *CARE* who was the better singer - Tajara had an inconsistant voice that sounded half the time more like she was gargling than singing (see: Elvenpath), and the newer one sounds like your typical Disney Pop singer - not bad, but pretty bland. The band does however compensate by writing some rather kickass tunes at times (Pharoah Sails to Orion, The Kinslayer, Wishmaster).

There's probably more, but my brain is overclocking itself for now...

So much hate... on so much gold.

IT MAKES MY INSIDES HURT:'(

EDIT: OT: Megadeth... terrible, terrible band.

And not so much Guns 'N' Roses, but anyone who thinks they're better than Slash and Myles Kennedy.

Myles is ten times the singer and 100 times the man Axl Rose ever was or will be.
