Mine,
Nirvana, I'm really into grunge but these guys just don't do it for me
The Beatles, I appreciate what they did for music but their stuff is really weird. I can count on one hand the songs I love by them. Mainly Hey jude.
Jimi Hendrix. Never saw the big deal with this guy.
Rolling Stones, I like a few of their songs, but some of it just sounds gay.
AC/DC I had a phase where i was really into them. Then I realized its all the same song, just with different names

Anthrax...they're supposed to be one of the big four of thrash, but I've never really seen what's so great about them.
I completely agree with you on that one. I never enjoyed them, especially compared to Slayer and Megadeth. I always thought Testament should have been in their place in the Big 4.

Nirvana - Admittedly as a 90's kid I didn't get into grunge until my mid teens, and by then we had seen where everyone went, but I'm just not as crazy about Nirvana as I am with other grunge bands. That being said, I got a lot more respect for Curt Kobain as a musician after watching his unplugged set.

The Beatles - Specifically John Lennon's songwriting.

Anything Metal - The simple truth is that to me, metal bands sound their best when they aren't trying to be metal.

Aerosmith - I literally can not listen to them.

Coldplay - A lot of people love them, but with the exception of a couple of songs I have a hard time getting into them.

Yes, because the best Beatles song is this:

Why?

Because Dark Tower. That's why.

Never liked Deftones, Chino's voice just really annoys me and although the music is good Nu-Metal, it is still Nu-Metal.
Deftones are such a grower band though. White Pony took me about 6 months to get into but now it's one of my favourite albums, and Diamond Eyes took me a year.

OT:
Old Guns 'N Roses. Sure, I like the big hits, but as a whole Appetite for Destruction bores me. Weirdly, I actually really really like Chinese Democracy.

Nas. I just don't understand why Illmatic is considered a hip hop classic.

Then there're bands I like but to nowhere near the level that they're hyped to. E.g. Modest Mouse, Modern Life Is War, Manchester Orchestra, Kendrick Lamar (being hyped up to hell with his new album but I found it largely boring apart from a few great tracks).

I could name others but I probably haven't given them enough of a chance yet

Muse - I actually just started listening to more due to their song Madness, but I've gone back through their stuff and still only like a couple songs.

White Chapel - My friend and I are both into metal. He swears that this band is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but they sound like absolute shit to me lol.

Rolling Stones - I like a few songs, but a lot of their other stuff is really "meh" to me and I've heard a lot of their stuff from my dad being a huge fan.

Epica - They're okay, but I like Nightwish a lot more.

Slayer, I'm a big fan of Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax but Slayer have never really grabbed me in the same way the others do.

And Muse, largely because Matt Bellamy manages to surpass even Metallica's James Hetfield in vocal inconsistency, every note he hits seems to contradict the remainder of the song, especially in Assassin.

Deftones are definitely a grower band I agree, and the music is very good (especially White Pony) but they never clicked with me. It is really strange though because I have had alot of weird music click with me on the first listen (Captain Beefheart, Can and Faust to name a few) but this never had any impact on me.

I totally agree with your other choices though, after listening to Modest Mouse I felt let down, I do like them but they are not a very interesting band (especially after listening to Indie like Pavement, Neutral Milk Hotel and Brand New).

Nas, again agree'd, Good lyrics but mediocre instrumentation and brings nothing new to the table, really overrated (Sputnikmusic has Illmatic as the number 1 Hip Hop album of all time which is ridiculous!).

I dunno. Led Zep, The Rolling Stones and Queen always seemed way overrated to me... I mean some of their songs I love but really that isn't enough.

In fairness, if you think people liked them for their music that would be confusing.

To be honest, I don't know why anyone would like the Sex Pistols. :/

BIG and Tupac.

I mean, they're okay, but I hardly ever listen to their album and they don't even crack my top 10 rappers list.

With Rock it's Pink Floyd, The Beatles, and just a lot of 60's and 70's stuff that I feel gets way hyped by people now a days.

I think... there are pretty much no bands who have never made a single song that I don't like, but equally there aren't many bands who've not made a song I can't bring myself to not dislike. Too many negatives in that sentence perhaps... What I mean is that:
For any given band,
there will be at least ONE SONG they've made that I will NOT like.
There will also (most likely) be at least ONE SONG they've made that I am capable of enjoying. Unless they're atrocious.

The Beatles. I hate their music it's just so... bad.

I will give you an example of the reverse though - a band that is as good, if not better, than other bands of the same genre that critics fawn over but still never "took off". You won't find a more respected band than Testament among the metal community. They just never took off in the same way that others like Metallica and Slayer (and Megadeth >.>) did. T'will never make sense to me.

QFT, I saw Testament, Megadeth and Judas Priest live a few years back, I was mainly there for Priest and Megadeth but Testament's performance was far, far more memorable than Megadeths.
And Dave Mustaine is a bit of a prick whereas Chuck Billy actually looked like he was really enjoying himself and really into it.

Bad instrumentation, bad singer, overrated lyrics that are the focus of the songs (something to avoid, generally). "Soul" is no replacement for musical ideas.

Bob Dylan- To like these guys you had to be young when they were introduced. They're musical dinosaurs. 50 years ago, this stuff might have been relevant. Now, it's not. Go comb over your bald spot and take your Metamucil, gramps.

I think that I better leave before more of you guys keep hurting my soul.

I shall address the elephant in the room - Elvis Presley. He sits up there on the Throne O' Meh along with the other crooners of his era: Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond et.al.

I know how much Elvis changed music history. I understand that he was as big an influence on the USA and the rest of the world stage as Bill Hailey and Buddy Holly. However, gyrating your hips for the first time on TV doesn't make you a musician. A good performer, perhaps, but I can't find anything about his music that is interesting.

His music is not offensive, it's not particularly bad in any way, but it's not particularly good either - however millions and millions of people disagree with me.

Maybe you had to be there and live through it, perhaps I can't understand the perspective of how ground-breaking it was, but it's throwaway elevator music to me.

I don't understand his continuing popularity.

(Sorry Elvis fans!)

I have to say, Im with a lot of people when it comes to the Beatles....I get that they were influential band and all,but their music just doesnt hold my attention.
And I seem to get a lot of flak for this, but I cannot stand the Artic Monkeys. The singer sounds so sarcastic and he sounds like he's trying to destroy his guitar with each heavy handed strum.
Finally, and I'm sorry if this seems like a rant, but how anyone can take people like Sean Paul, Akon and Nicki Minaj seriously is beyond me....but to each their own I guess

The Beatles
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Rush
Journey
etc.

Classic bands like those. Not to say I don't "get it" cause I do, I see the appeal and I understand why people would like them but they're just not my thing. I do love me some Hendrix though.
