Kotor 2 is notoriously buggy on the PC. Hell just to install it I had to jump through hoops. I have it running now but all the work I had to put into it to get it running would most likely put off any normal person.

Dawn of War 2. The new patch has a horrible game breaking bug in it that renders 90% of games I play unplayable (not an exaggeration).

Also Bomberman 64. At first I thought my N64 was broken when it didn't work because of all the dust and the spider that made a web in it.But Paper Mario still works, so I guess my N64 is fine.

I have a problem with Blood 2 - The Chosen under XP. The game won't start at all if I install patch 2.1 and when I run it in the original or 2.0 version, the game becomes slower and slower while I play.

Welcome to my world. I vowed to stop buying PC games, and now, I'm going down the list of ones I own to discover that practically none them work.

Half-Life 2 and Episode 1 won't load because "Cannot find hl2.exe"

And Portal's lost all of its dialogue making it so I don't want to play it.

For some reason all of my computers seem to have trouble with Lost Planet. They meet most of the recommended requirements, but it's so laggy it's unplayable. On another computer it meets all of the recommended requirements, I still have to run it on the lowest resolution in order to play it well.

I think that's just Capcom not knowing the requirements to their own game though.

P.S. Yes, my computer is crappy. Not much of a PC gamer, but I'll play some PC games.

Thief, can't seem to run it on XP even when I disable the second virtual processor. I just get to the game and it freeses while loading ;___;
I have the same problem with Thief 2, and I can't get System Shock 2 to work either.
I'm running Windows XP Pro SP3 if anyone can help... but I doubt it. :(

It could be that your shortcut just isn't linked to the right target, but I expect you've already thought of that. I suppose it's possible that your hl2.exe either became corrupt or maybe you accidentally deleted it? Have you tried re-installing?

The first and second Sonic games. I used to love Sonic 1 and 2, and now I can't enjoy them at all.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't read the OP properly. My apologies.

As penance, I remember my new PC not being able to play Medieval 1 total war. Not compatable or something. Very annoying.

I'm still using WinXP, and combined with my awesome knowledge of DosBox and ScummVM, I've managed to get almost everything working.

Except Grim Fandango. It runs, but it'll frequently crash back to the desktop for absolutely no reason. No idea why.

Beyond Good and Evil - the limited resolution and refresh rate somehow give me a feeling of extreme quesiness in real life after about 30 minutes play time, to the point that I have to switch it off.

I couldn't play Spyro 2 until a few days ago, due too my original copy being scratched as heck. My friend gave me a perfect copy for my Birthday, though, so it's all good.

DOOM and Grim Fandango

My 2 favorite childhood games right there :(
Actually, you can easily play Doom and Doom 2 and Final Doom on the PC with a source port without any real hassle with loads of new features like better visuals and total free-look.

Wait, what?! How do I do this?

Are you talking about Doom Legacy here Hardcore_gamer or something else?

Which source port do you prefer for Doom, Doom 2?
Mine is Doom Legacy (in case that wasn't clear by now.) :p
