And I just remembered, I found Final Fantasy 7 to be unbelievably boring.
This. It's all killing giant caterpillars and wasps to level up. And then there are the summoning sequences, which take an hour and a half to finish up *every time you use them!*
Haha, try FFX! well, i guess you can turn those off... but then it turns off their "overdrives" too... which are always watchable and cool (actually, not the Magus sisters... just goes on and on...)
least there was a wider-range of summons in FFVII... still, i agree. (i liked the game by the way... but i can agree with the summons) Sephiroth's supernova takes ruddy ages, going through every single planet in the solar system and all XD

and on your caterpillar comment, aren't all RPG's in effect that? except the caterpillar is perhaps a Molerat, or a spider or a ladybird or a pikachu or...etc.

hmmmm, i don't know... i tend to like most games i play, and i'm only dissapointed by games which were never boosted up to be great.
Perhaps Fable 2 if i had to pick one... but now it seems that only one of my friends likes that game after it came out. and its not like i hate fable 2, i just can't pick it up again.
kinda never got into Assassins creed, but i can however watch people playing it and enjoy that.

I've never played Dragon age origins, but there seems to be a lot of dissapointment from a lot of people around that too... none of my friends actually enjoy it (though only 2 bought the game)

Halo's
Anything Bethesda
Crysis
Final Fantasy VII
Kingdom Hearts

Pretty much any game where the fanbase is constantly screaming about how awesome the game is. I play it expecting to be blown away, generally sit there in a sort of "Meh" fashion the entire time I play it.
Although, Crysis I at least got to say "Ooh" every once in a while when I shot down a tree...

Fallout 3-boring
Dragon age origins-boring
World of warcraft-repetitive and boring
bad company 2 single player-highly flawed in many ways
galactic civilizations 2-boring
sins of a solar empire-pretty good, could've been better
borderlands-boring

If a game doesn't act like a game, it gets boring and that defeats the purpose of a game.

I tend to forget that it was released for the PS3 (I've never played one so I don't pay much attention to it). But yes, what applies to the Xbox 360 version of the Orange Box also applies to the PS3 version.
If you want to play these games they way they were meant to be played, get the PC version.
Thing is my pc is so weak it crashes if you try to watch a D.V.D or if you have 4 pages up.

Fallout 3 (Dull)
Dragonage: Origins (Slow)
Star Trek Online (Terrible)

They are just not as good as other games out there. I prefered Oblivion to Fallout even with it's much better voice overs.
I agree with Dragon Age Origins, I just don't get why it is so popular.
I liked the magic class, I usually play as this, the voice work is brilliant as are the cutscenes, but it's so bloody slow it's unreal. Like Star Trek Online, I find myself nodding off while playing.

Also, I need to say Crysis did not blow me away either, I found it a little dull.

Stalker... It felt so half-assed and crappy. A bunch of fetch quests in a few square meters of grass over run by bear things and radioactive clouds... I stopped playing about an hour in.

Devil May Cry (all of them)
Grand Theft Auto (all of them)
Any Final Fantasy after 8
Any MMORPG
Prototype
Any fps after Halo 2(not saying that Halo 2 is "teh bestest evar1!!" just saying that the market has become over saturated and I just feel kinda ho-hum over the whole sad nine car pileup)
Any fighting game ever.
KOTOR II was nice, but it failed to live up to the first one.

GTA 4; it was nowhere near as fun as San Andreas and Vice City. Give me a game with the ragdoll physics and graphics of GTA 4 along with the out-of this world stuff like in Just Cause 2, then I think that game would deserve a 10 out of 10; IGN was out of their minds giving the grindfest that was GTA 4 a perfect score.

Left 4 Dead 2. I played the hell out of Left 4 Dead and even pre-ordered L4D2. About a week of playing and I haven't touched either of them since. Idk, though, maybe L4D2 isn't "great".

Probably been done to death in this thread already, but MW2. I think the multiplayer is cool, but the single player is far too short, albeit fun whilst it lasts. I dunno, after all the hype I really hoped the single player would be up to standards.

Mass Effect.

Both of them.
They sucked.

That is all.
'bout time I found somebody else with this opinion.
Also:
All Halo games
All Gears of War
Metal Gear Solid 4
Super Mario Galaxies (Good, but inferior to Sunshine, IMO)
Dead Rising
All Left 4 Dead

Also, Rayman Raving Rabbids. Fuck the Rabbids. I thought they'd be a hilarious new enemy for a great series, but no, they turned the franchise into a mini-game fest. I hope we can see the end of them soon and Rayman can get back on the platforming track.

All of the Metal Gears past MGS
All of the Final Fantasy games past 7
Everything in the Orange Box
Bioshock
Oblivion
Both Modern Warfare games
GTA4
and most recently, Heavy Rain. Far, far more boring than I expected.

Now these games wern't bad, mind you, but they didn't "blow me away" in a manner befitting their massive ad-campaigns.
