Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, and Harvest Moon: Magical Melody (what can I say, I'm a sucker for vegetables and cattle called homophonic variations of Bow)
Oh, well it is a fairly old game.. unless we're thinking of two different games with similar titles. At the time it was created, it allowed a very realistic and very strategic tank warfare game. Infantry were useful in wave tactics of sorts and the game had a awesome map editor, I.E. very little restrictions and a open script.
I think we are talking about the same game. Though... I don't remember there being a map editor. That's actually one of the big reasons I didn't play that game for very long.
Oh well that was the reason I loved the game. I made an epic map on it once, HUGE city battle, airborne drops for the players.. just a absolute slaughter. Players had a small tank force but were hammered by motars and lord knows the amount of MG teams delayed things to all hell. With the mixture of Western and Eastern buildings you could really create a diverse map, not to mention the map textures were awesome for the time.
So..many..doodads, it was beautiful. Plus with permanent terrains scarring, the battlefield was just awesome.
